Pasadena City College RN program

U.S.A. California

Published

Hi,

I've heard that it's not recommended to work while enrolled as a student in an RN program. I'm applying for the Spring Semester at PCC and while I do intend to leave my current employer should I be accepted, I was wondering if there were people who made the attempt to work part-time or possibly in the summer.

Any opinions?

Thanks!

Thank you CokeMachine

Did anyone else get accepted to the LACC program for Spring 2013? I'm an lvn and in order for the bridge program to begin we need 25 LVNs!! I hope it happens!

Anajovel87 just wondering if you already took the teas. If you did how was it??

Fc89 I took it yesterday at Glendale and I didn't pass I got a 58 :-( I don't know what happens next.

Anajovel87 Im truly sorry to hear that :/. I believe, but don't take my word for it, if either school has a remediation plan for scoring low, you have to do that first before they will accept you into their program......wasn't pasadena's teas test yesterday? My email said the 28th

Fc89 thank u. :( I'm sad but its okay I have to study harder and try again lol. Pasadena was for tomorrow the 30 but I'm not going I have to study n go from there. Glendale college told me that to wait and they were going to send me a letter I guess on how to do the remediation.

I received my acceptance email today!! God is awesome!

Hi Guys, I'm currently entering my last semester at PCC

Does anyone know where I can find affordable housing in the area? I'm from socal but the commute to Pasadena is horrible.

Affordable housing in Pasadena is nonexistant. The best you're likely to get is surrounding areas. Try Sierra Madre.

Thanks, it's true. It's quite pricey. Thanks for the tip. Stelon, are you currently in the program at PCC? There was no orientation for Spring '13, so I'm unsure If we're suppose to wear our uniforms the first day? Please let me know if you have any tips if you are a post graduate or current student :)

Hi Zoe3,

I just graduated from PCC RN program Dec 2012. You only wear your uniforms when you go to clinical at the hospital. Lectures/Seminar you just wear regular clothes. Good luck!
