Hi,
I've heard that it's not recommended to work while enrolled as a student in an RN program. I'm applying for the Spring Semester at PCC and while I do intend to leave my current employer should I be accepted, I was wondering if there were people who made the attempt to work part-time or possibly in the summer.
Any opinions?
Thanks!
Hi 11amp24When I called they said they will let me know when my teas would be scheduled?? I'm studying for it but it would be nice to know the date! You will do great! Just continue studying!
thank you elove23! i've been studying. i even bought the study package online (atitesting.com) with online test. i called the school and said not all alternate has scheduled for teas test. good luck to you! please keep me posted.
For the record, the LVN and RN programs are completely separate. I bridged in with a large amount of PCC LVN grads and no one was prepared for what we're going through. I was always one of those people who shrugged when others talked about how hard the RN program is, figuring "Oh well. It won't be that bad for me.", because hey, I've always done well and saw no reason to worry.
Fast forward to now and I'm barely passing as are many of us. I've never done this poorly in school ever, and there are some in my class who would argue I shouldn't complain because at least I'm passing. Be ready to spend any and all spare time you have reading, or feeling guilty if you're NOT reading. Speaking of which...time to go study some more.
