  1. Hey guys, I used an old edition of pharm and dosage calc (my sister was in a nursing program years prior elsewhere) and it was perfectly fine, I assure you. the chapters are switched around but otherwise as long as you know the title of chapter the reading is all there :) But if you are one of those who has to get everything brand new with no markings, I totally understand because I'm one of those people too. But the books were getting quite expensive, so I opted to use what was available. However I made sure my other books (like med surg) were brand spankin new because the markings would bother me since I'd be using it until the end of the program. Good luck guys!
  2. Alhambra Hospital, Country Villa, Arcadia Methodist to name a few for first semester students.
  3. Thanks!! And congrats to you!! You must be so excited and studying hard for your NCLEX I'm sure. Good luck with everything and thanks for response to a fellow future PCC nursing alumni :)
  4. I'm sorry, I'm not sure what that class is as I didn't do the bridge LVN-RN program. Looks like that only applies to LVN's and that it's the last class that should be taken after all the other prerequisite have been completed. http://college.lattc.edu/catalog/files/2012/11/NursingRegisteredLVN-RNCareerLadder.pdf Maybe you'll have some useful information there. I really encourage you to go down there (you can try calling, but it's hard to get a hold of that department) and make an appointment with Deborah, she's the counselor that takes care of a majority of the nursing applicants and will be more informative than most of the others in that department. If they try to schedule you with someone else, don't. Just trust me, I've learned from my experience and them giving me the run-around. Some of the other counselors and staff have misinformed me as well, so stick to Deborah. Also, make sure you're registered as a student, otherwise they won't see you. Good luck with everything :) Sorry I wasn't able to help you out.
  5. Thanks, it's true. It's quite pricey. Thanks for the tip. Stelon, are you currently in the program at PCC? There was no orientation for Spring '13, so I'm unsure If we're suppose to wear our uniforms the first day? Please let me know if you have any tips if you are a post graduate or current student :)
  6. All prereqs needs to be completed before applying. The sooner you turn in your application the better; they don't have an application period.
  7. Does anyone know where I can find affordable housing in the area? I'm from socal but the commute to Pasadena is horrible.
  8. Thanks for the update. Now it makes me want to go tomorrow just so I can somewhat get an idea and get it semi-started.
  9. I plan on it, but I don't want to do anything thats going to jeopardize my grades. Did u get the packet as well? Is there lots to do?
  10. Have you? Plus I live near orange county
  11. Not yet, I have to do it Monday. I have to let me work know and I feel bad since its such short notice.
  12. Me too. congrats!! It starts jan 7 :/
  13. Thanks willowita. I hope you're right. If i may ask, what program are you in?
  14. Thanks, makes me feel a little at ease. And with much sincerity, I hope you get in this time around too!
  15. Me too. I wonder if they even send out rejection letters?? Or do they just send "you've been chosen as an alternate" as a nice way of telling us, we havn't been chosen?? I hope not. I hope we have a chance.
