Pasadena City College RN program

U.S.A. California

Published

Hi,

I've heard that it's not recommended to work while enrolled as a student in an RN program. I'm applying for the Spring Semester at PCC and while I do intend to leave my current employer should I be accepted, I was wondering if there were people who made the attempt to work part-time or possibly in the summer.

Any opinions?

Thanks!

Thank you zoe3! I hope you get in as well. I believe we have a great chance of going in the program

Has anyone accepted as an alternative received anything else? When are you guys taking the teas exam?

Anajovel87 i haven't received anything else. I guess we'll just hear back when we get in the program. I already took my teas test and emailed them my unofficial transcripts.

Fc89 ok I'll be taking the teas on nov.30 with them, hopefully I pass I've been studying :). Did u apply to other schools?

Study study!! I barely passed the teas :/ but then again at least i passed lol. Good luck with the test and i hope you pass!...i applied to 5 different schools and got rejected by 4 and pasadena was the only to give me an alternate spot. Did you apply to other schools?

Good thing you passed and that we got an alternate spot. I got rejected by college of the canyon, waiting on lavc, and today I got a letter from Glendale to go take the teas with them on November 29.

Thank you I've got to study harder :)

At least you still have a chance of getting into lavc or glendale :) and when you take the teas for glendale, you'll be prepared for the one in pasadena. Which school will you be going to if you get accepted into the 3?

Well hopefully I pass I'm so nervous but the teas I would just take it at Glendale and then have my results also sent to Pasadena.. I would love lavc I live like ten minutes away and my mother in law lives in north Hollywood so she could help me watch my daughter, she's four months right now. My son goes to kindergarten most of the day so I would still have time to take him to school.

Valley's schedule makes it extremely hard with children...my advice since you have a child is accept all offers and attend all orientations and see what schedule works for you. I have a son who was in kindergarten at the time I got accepted and I turned down Valley because of their schedule and inability to have time to drop him off at school and make it to campus on time....and I live in Northridge

SoCalCrystal okay thank you so much :) are you in the program already?

Im currently in the program, if you guys need some info shoot me a pm.
