Hi,
I've heard that it's not recommended to work while enrolled as a student in an RN program. I'm applying for the Spring Semester at PCC and while I do intend to leave my current employer should I be accepted, I was wondering if there were people who made the attempt to work part-time or possibly in the summer.
Any opinions?
Thanks!
They don't tell you what number you are, just that you're an alternate and to not call the office because if it changes they'll let you know immediately. They gave me info on the TEAS and an invitation to take it at no charge. I already took it earlier in the year though, so I emailed back to find out if I should have my results sent over now. It also said my "alternate status" will be in effect up to June 28. So I guess if I hear nothing by then, I'm not getting in. Here's hoping. That said, from talking to people at Pasadena (in the program and some finished), it sounds like they don't choose very many alternates to begin with so most do end up in the program.
Hi, did you get in at PCC?
How's PCC Rn program?
Hi lawrencencandy, sorry I haven't been answering back to your post, but I have been pretty busy at school. The program is awesome! I don't know exactly how the lvn-rn program, but I've heard that its a lot harder for the lvn's coming in to 3rd semester because of theory/lecture. I'm not saying that most lvn's, but there are a few that either fail or drop out because it is difficult for them. If you are already accepted, I suggest you begin reading ASAP and study your ABG'S!!!!!! if you have any other questions just ask me :)
