Pasadena City College RN program

Published

Hi,

I've heard that it's not recommended to work while enrolled as a student in an RN program. I'm applying for the Spring Semester at PCC and while I do intend to leave my current employer should I be accepted, I was wondering if there were people who made the attempt to work part-time or possibly in the summer.

Any opinions?

Thanks!

Congrats stelon!!

I know you were accepted in the career ladder program, but was the orientation for generic adn applicants too?

I don't know if the orientation was for both. I only even know I missed it because the acceptance packet I picked up had the orientation date on it.

Stelon, you are in the LVN to RN program right? The rest of us are talking about the ADN RN program though. This sucks!!

Hey guys...so i called the nursing dept and they told me that they were still evaluating apps and emails should go out by june 4th or 5th for the adn program...

well good luck to all!

Cool, thanks for the update! Does anyone happen to know how many applicants they accept into the generic adn program?

Oh my, so I just got a call from someone at the PCC Nursing dept saying that I got into the program! I have to respond by Monday 9:30am. Geez, not a lot of time to think it through. Not sure what I'll do but happy to be considered!

Willowita, congratulations! Was it for the generic adn option or the lvn-rn option? Weird they called, I thought they said they'd be sending out notifications via email.

It was for the generic ADN. I tried to call them back but they're busy so I'm guessing that they're calling other applicants right now. I also thought we would be getting emails.

My friend's mother went to PCC so I'm going to call her and see what she thought of the program. But I also want more info about when the program starts (summer or fall) and what the schedule is like.

If anyone here knows what the schedule is like, please let us know!

Received a call as well. I was accepted to PCC.

I just got a call from pcc too. I'm accepted into the generic adn program. The woman I spoke to said it begins mid-august, that I'll get an official letter in the mail soon and that I would get more information soon.

Congratulations for those who were still waiting on PCC anf got in!! Thats awesome!

so the deadline to accept your spot is until monday? If you don't get a call today does that mean you didn't get in?
