Pasadena City College RN FALL 2010??

Published

Has anyone recieved an acceptance letter from Pasadena yet. They said it would be 10 weeks after the application period closed. Well it's closed and it's been 10 weeks. Whats the word???

Me either! Nothing yet! I thought we were supposed to be getting a status via email? Or will a letter actually be coming in the mail? Or both?

apprantly the nursing dept. doesn't even know. I asked and they said it would be an e-mail. Now i'm hearing (from this thread) that people are getting letters???

I'm just hoping to get something!!

Perhaps applicants recieve an email and then docs via postal mail with additional info about orientation and what not...but I could be wrong...but this whole process is taking forever!

You receive the reply from PCC via email. I think I got it early because I had a higher GPA, as did the other people I talked with who received it. @Jenny102938 , O wow your M,T,Th... I was M, TH, F. The reason I dropped early is because I DO NOT want a "W". Last day to drop w/o a "W" is June 25th. If you already took the teas test or are going to take it, you just need to score a 67+ overall score. BTW, FYI to everyone, PCC is merit based (GPA) not lottery...I overheard.

still no letter or email of sort.

Me neither. Anyone have any insights into this one? My GPA was a 4.0, so I'm not sure the suggestion about them sending emails in order of gpa is correct. I know of four people who have gotten emails--three acceptances and one waitlist.

Yeah still no email for me either. How weird...maybe they are limited on staff and it takes a while to email everyone? I doubt it's only GPA based...I'm sure there are several factors in the equation.

Hey guys, So sorry to hear that you all are still waiting to hear about getting in to PCC...but I'm sure that you will all know by next week at the latest. The director told me on Thursday that they are really busy trying to get everyone notified. Many of the administrators are leaving on vacation next week! Good lucK!

Well, I had a high gpa and submitted volunteer hours so maybe that boosted the acceptance rate.

this is such crap...if we didn't get accepted we should have known weeks/months ago...PCC is taking their time even with veterans whom are supposed to be a priority, by law!

is anyone else who applied to PCC's fall nursing program also a veteran?

damn, i probably should've gave them my volunteer hours.
