Hey guys, I just turned in my application for PCC today and I wanted to start a thread to see who else applied. Share stats, questions, etc... on here :)

I have 73 points but I was told they do not operate with a waiting list anymore, so I don't know what that means for me if I fall under their cutoff ): Is waiting list same as an Alternate list, and do you know if they use alternate list now?

I just received my acceptance email from PCC 10 minutes ago. I'm walking around Target crying. I can't believe it. I worked so hard to get here and I can't wait for the next stage of my education to begin!!!!

Congratulations! I still haven't received anything from them yet. I got mine a few minutes ago. I accepted another school and paid for most of my supplies so I am a bit conflicted... -.-

Does it mention when the orientation date is going to be for the new incoming fall class? I'm anxiously checking my email too!

Thank you. No it did not mention orientation dates. The email included a blank letter of intent, and a request for me to submit my TEAS score. Then it said they will email me a welcome packet (no date). Waiting is the hardest part. good luck to you snguy!

I was wondering roughly how many points you may have had. I have a friend that is still waiting but has not received any email for today.

If I calculated correctly I am at 68 points.

Like I said...PCC seems to almost choose their students at random out of a qualifying pool. Higher points doesn't mean that you will get chosen over someone with lower points. They take into consideration if you're a current PCC student, work experience, degrees/no degrees, etc. The director likes to form a balanced cohort; not a cohort where every student is in the 80+ points range.
