Hey guys, I just turned in my application for PCC today and I wanted to start a thread to see who else applied. Share stats, questions, etc... on here :)
yes maybe they are waiting for people to get cleared. I'm bummed out too. I need to start nursing now so I have applied at West Coast University and start this week. It is a lot of money but they gave me a scholarship and at least I'll get a Bachelors. Wish I would gotten chosen at PCC but like you said, everything happens for a reason.

Good luck to you, NurseLore!

do you mind me asking how much was the cost of tuition? How much of a scholarship? I honestly tried so hard to avoid private schools, but at this point im considering just going for it
gmoran1103, Private school is very expensive but they gave me a $10,000 scholarship. I was very surprised and happy. After Fafsa, federal loans, and the scholarship, my out of pocket will be $10,000 for my first year. I am hoping to have the same luck with my second year. I will only be there two years because all my community college classes were transferable and I will be starting the core nursing classes/clinicals in January 2019. I'm also telling my self that I wont have to do a extra year somewhere else to get my bachelors. Because I work next to Huntington Hospital, PCC would have been Ideal.
is that 10K plus the federal loans that you'd have to pay back? That's not too bad, congratulations! At least youre starting soon, pay off those loans fast at a nursing salary. I work at children's hospital and a lot of students are coming from West coast, good luck with your nursing education

Maybe they did fill the spots with alternates and it's just taking a while for them to get cleared to register.
