Pasadena City College LVN program 2018

Hi all! I wanted to start this thread to see who has applied or will apply to the LVN program at PCC for fall of 2018. I already submitted my application and if anyone has tried in the past or is already in the program please feel free to offer advice! Thank you! GOOD LUCK!

So I finally got an email back about the scrubs for clinical, the DOVE apparel ones.

They said it is mandatory that we get those through the Dove apparel website and if their is any issues with purchasing them their is a counselor by the name of Ms. Quintanar ([email protected]) that helps students out with that. I think she has some scrubs that they have at a more affordable price. I don't know if they are donated or previously used but yea that's the info I got if anyone is still needing the help.

Yes, she said they will be letting students borrow only white scrubs. They will be distributing them Tuesday 8/14 and Thursday 8/16 during 11am-2pm in the FOOTHILL campus in rm CEC 105 (the counseling office)

There are only a limited amount of scrubs. Also you'd still have to buy the patches because the ones they are lending out have the RN patches.

And if you cant make it, just email her and arrange a time and date.

She got back to me pretty fast.

Is anyone else seeing the wrong dates for mycastlebranch? right now its saying im past due and the year it was due is 2016.

Ok just bought the ATI package and a but confused. Is the packet electronic ? Has anyone else gotten it yet ?

I received mine today and it was a box full of a dozen books.

What ! Mine was all electronic on the ati page I even called them and they said it was what the school had put together..

I read somewhere that its both electronic and physical copies, I'm not 100% sure. I still have not ordered mine, I am waiting for my next paycheck.

Also an FYI if you guys haven't bought/ rented your text books, I wanted to let you guys know that I bought the comprehensive nursing care textbook on Barnes and Noble for $7, someone was selling it and its in practically new condition. I actually bought all of the textbooks through either chegg, amazon, or Barnes noble used and a few new and I managed to only spend about $160.

Has anyone else ordered their ATI package?? Am freaking out. I contacted the program director and she said its online and books as well, but when I contacted ATI they said I will not be getting any books that's that's how the school had it all electronic. Has anyone else had any issues ordering the ATI package ?

That weird when you were buying them didnt it have a list of all the thing you were buying? it should have included some on line stuff and some physical books too. I havent received mine either so Idk yet.

Did you buy the books based on the list they sent us or based on what is listed on the school bookstore?

I just saw that the bookstore had a few extra books idk if I need to buy those too.
