Pasadena City College LVN program 2018

Hi all! I wanted to start this thread to see who has applied or will apply to the LVN program at PCC for fall of 2018. I already submitted my application and if anyone has tried in the past or is already in the program please feel free to offer advice! Thank you! GOOD LUCK!

Hi you guys, I have not yet finished my pre reqs for the lvn program but I am hopefully applying next year since you guys got accepted (congrats btw) do you guys have any advice, any reply's are appreciated
hi ! I would defiantly try to finish all prerequisites with an A or B. Also when taking the science classes pay attention as much as you can and take very good notes you can use these later to study for the TEAS. Also I bought the TEAS 6 Practice tests and those were very beneficial.

Does anyone know if we HAVE TOO buy our white scrubs from dove apparel? I know we can get our burgundy scrubs from where ever we want so can we do the same for the white ones? They are just so pricey.
that's what I wanted to know too! I am going to ask someone that is in the program now. I'll keep you updated.

I have only purchased the background check.

That would be great let us know about the white scrubs as soon as you know.

Does any one know if we are getting like an orientation? Im surprised we did have to meet with the school and have all this explained.

No, they said they were going to email us when the student information form was received . But I haven't received the email.

I thought they said after they received the background check results.

Does anyone else notice of all the classes we have to register for N108A, N123A, N125, N125L & N125S only 108,125,125L & 122 is available? Do any of you know how many days a week our clinicals will be?

Yea I noticed that too. I was going to email them once I got my registration clearance.

Has anyone got theirs yet?

I think I heard that clinicals are 2 days a week. but I could be wrong.

I wish they had this information for us now especially because of work but I know that they cant place us into clinical until we have cleared our background check and our health clearance. :/

I have gathered most of my things that I have been able to. I ordered the LVN kit, the background check, the NSO insurance, the medical document manager, I got my school scrubs, nursing shoes, I have an appointment on tuesday at the pcc health center for the health clearance, I wanted to try to get everything cleared as soon as I am able to. I just haven't ordered the clinical scrubs, they're so pricey.

I just want to let you guys know that for the health clearance as far as the 2-step TB test if you have gotten one in the last year and it was negative then you only need one more and all you need is the proof. Also I looked into the books we might need through the book store and it seems like so many... but I'm waiting to receive the book list before I order anything.

Also I think we wont get registration clearance until we get cleared for everything else..
