Hi!

I just applied too, I was told to have official transcripts uploaded, which means you have to get the official mailed to you then you can scan it and upload it.  To me this does not make sense, as you said, it makes it unofficial by opening LOL. What I did was had my school send me official e-transcripts directly so I receive it quicker.  You still have to have the other official transcripts sent directly to the school as well.

In the previous application period, they only required unofficial transcripts uploaded.

I agree. It doesn't make sense at all. The fact that we need two copies at all is kind of strange. But you can also have electronic official copies emailed to you and upload those instead.

When I attended the workshop, we had told them how the Admissions & Records were taking forever at processing our transcripts that we've sent over. That's why they're allowing applicants to upload their official transcripts so they can still apply within the application period. So yes, basically they will still consider it official even though you've opened it as long as it shows that it really is an official transcript.

Hi everyone,

I will be applying as well. I'm trying to send my transcripts by requesting it online at the National Student Clearing House. Does anyone know if it's okay to send it like this:

Pasadena City College

Attention: Office of Admissions and Records

1570 East Colorado Blvd., Pasadena, CA 91106

I am not able to insert ”Building L Room L113” in the address form.

Please let me know. Thanks in advance!

Yes, admissions and Records is enough to get it to the right people.

Anyone know anyone who was an alternate and got accepted? I am an alternate for the LVN-RN at Rio, but also applied to PCC generic and bridge. They are asking all alternates for vaccinations, physical, etc... but I guess I can use it if I get accepted (if ever) elsewhere.

Guys do we expect result in late December or early Jan?

I have question that after submitted the online application, does anyone got confirmation form the nursing department or not.

I didn’t get one

I had the same question. It was a very strange "confirmation". I thought I'd get to review it first, and then no email or anything.

I’m posting here because I need advice and I haven’t got as response on my posts. So how did you guys pass stats? I honestly need just three more classes for me being able to apply for the ADN program, BUT I decided to go the LVN route (at PCC) because I don't feel ready to take stats (I’m not good at math) and I don't want an F that will affect my future admissions to the PCC ADN program. ? any tips? Thank you!

I took a 3 unit stat class at pierce college online (got an A).   I honestly felt like it had nothing to do with the previous math classes I took. As long as you can do some multiplication, division, and fractions, you should be good.  It was mainly memorization of formulas (plugging in numbers) and getting familiar with the symbols.
