I was accepted with 83 points in Spring of 2020, retaking my first semester now due to Covid, but some of my classmates had fewer points. It really just depends on the pool of people you are going up against when you register. They accept the highest score first and then work their way down until all spots are filled. If they have a group of people with the same score and not enough spots to accept them all of them, I believe they use a random lottery.

Hi Chinae, might I ask if you have any experiences prior applying? I got 82 points but I do not have any health care experiences yet, how about your classmates? Did the majority of them get experiences before they applied? Thank you

Of course, I'm happy to answer any questions. There are some in my cohort that had previous experience in the medical field, but like me, many did not.  It seems like you have a solid score and have done what you can up until this point to put yourself in the best position possible. Try not to stress too much about how you can add to it (I did, constantly), and in the end it it is just that, more stress. I hope that I see you around campus next semester!!

I have 65 points before taking my TEAS which I'm taking Nov 2. I'm super nervous to take it. Does anybody know anybody who's gotten in previously and how many points they had? Also, how difficult is the TEAS...I'm sure it's different for everyone, but if anyone could tell me their experience.

Hi Jr624666,

The TEAS is not as horrible as you think, it's not like super hard, its just common anatomy and physiology knowledge, but some of them went in real details. I remember it asks me about which layer of the skin is the outermost (the corneum or whichever I'm not sure LOL). The hardest part for me was surprisingly English grammar and reading. And many of my friends who took it agreed that Science and Math were like a piece of cake whereas reading comprehension and grammar were the real monsters. I got 90 and 95 in Math and Science but only 70 and 75 in the other 2 areas. So I suggest practice lots of reading as much as you can! Timewise, I do not think you gonna need more than 2 hours for all of that! Hang in there, you got it! :))

I agree with Fanagan, the TEAS is not terrible and the parts that surprised me the most were the reading comprehension and grammar sections. I used ATI's TEAS prep and it helped a lot, gave me a better idea of where I needed to improve and focus my attention as well as the types of questions to expect. I ended up with a 92 overall using the ATI prep for about 2 weeks before my exam.

Hello all! I’m applying to the program with 80 points. Hoping that that can get me by! Quick question, the website says when the online application opens, we’ll also need to upload a scanned pdf version of our official transcripts and I’m pretty confused by that. Do you think they mean a scanned version of the UNOFFICIAL transcripts? Or are we to send official transcripts to ourselves, open them (thus making it unofficial) and scan and upload them? I hope this question makes sense.

You can order officiaL pdf transcript, you open it and upload it as “official pdf transcript”, thats what I did for my application!

I was just thinking about this today too! Haha I think it has to be an official transcript that we open, scan and upload, then we send another unopened official transcript to the office of admissions and records? I've ordered a few official transcripts in the past and they look way different than unofficial transcripts so they would be able to tell if you've uploaded an unofficial transcript. But honestly, I have no idea. Guess we'll have to see if there is more info when the app opens or if a past/current students has any insight.

Oh cool! Thank you so much for the quick response. So when I do that, I have it sent to my email right? From the transcript company?

LOL right? That’s exactly what I was thinking! But yes I’m going to do exactly that and just wait until the application opens on Sunday and go from there. Thank you!!

Yes, so right after you order, they send you the official pdf which can only be downloaded in 3 days or something. They will send you 2 seperate emails to confirm!
