Nurses Job Hunt
Updated: Feb 24, 2020 Published Dec 23, 2019
Hello everyone!
I created this thread for those who are interested or applying to the residency program at Parkland for the summer 2020. I'm hoping this thread is helpful for those wanting to talk and ask questions. Good luck to everyone!

Anyone have any idea about shift hours as a nurse resident? I know some hospitals do 2 12 hour shifts and 2 8 hour shifts but just curious.

@clarria24 not sure. I believe its 36 hour per week. I was reading their FAQs and nurse residents much work 72 hours per pay period. My only guess is that its 3 12 hour shifts per week. Has anyone had any notifications for interviews?

Is it common to pull out of residency offers if a better one comes along? I've been offered a residency and would turn it down in a heartbeat if Parkland offered me anything

I applied to four spots! I really don't want to drive to Dallas, BUT I have to get a job right after graduation so I am applying to every residency program. Good luck everyone!
