Parkland NICU or L&D resident summer 2013 applicants

I thought we should start a new tread so we could stay up to date on any news regarding Parkland. I only applied to NICU and L&D nurse resident positions and graduate in May from UTA. I'm still praying Parkland calls!! ;)

@meraki86 - Did you do well? I really wish I knew how I did... Not knowing is TERRIBLE! I thought I did well (although I may have rushed a bit, as I didn't want them to think I took too long), but maybe I didn't, and that is why I didn't get my results :bluecry1: Also, are you interviewing for the ER, SICU or both? Oh, and I saw the SICU is taking 15... do you know about ER or any of the others? I really want this position!

I received a Job offer this morning for L&D!!! :)

Congrats!!

Has anyone that had to take the drug dosage calculations test for the residency received their scores? Or is it something we will never find out? I hate not knowing EXACTLY how I did!!!!!

I didn't get my score nor did I ask.

That is SO awesome! Were you happy with the pay rate? Does it change once the residency portion is over?

My friend said it goes up after residency, but I have not seen that in writing yet.

Do they offer the job by email or phone?

I got an email yesterday, phone call today.

I've heard ER is taking 40-50

@viwaRN - yes I applied for ER and SICU but I haven't heard anything from ER. I would love to be contacted for ER as well.. but let's see. I have an interview with SICU on Monday. What did you apply for? I'm sure you did great on your med dosage test! :)

I think the people who applied to SICU got to see their scores.A couple of my classmates are interviewing for the ER too and they weren't able to see it.Oh well it's not a big deal just nice to know :yawn:

Thank you everyone! I think if you're just yourself and really show that you want L&D you'll do great in the interview!! They were all behavioral style questions :) Good luck everyone! I hope we can all share in this wonderful experience together!

I still haven't gotten an interview for ER :( anyone know how close they are to being full?

Hey alll!! I'm relocating from FL to TX :up: I applied for the nurse resident position-ER (I have 2.6 yrs of tele experience) on 4/25. I checked their site this morning and the position isn't being offered anymore. Does anyone know if the position is full? Have they started interviewing yet? I've read that SICU and L&D have started interviewing. I haven't read much info on ER... Are most of you new grads or working RNs? Good luck to all!
