Parkland Feb 2014 residencies/internships

Anyone apply to Parkland for their Feb 2014 residencies/internships? Thought we could use this threat to keep in touch with one another/support one another through the process of hopefully receiving a job through them :)

I applied to SICU and ortho/med-surg. Received an email today for an interview for SICU. Super excited and nervous!

Anyone else out there?

I don't see how you could successfully complete the residency. I just graduated from residency in November & during the 18 weeks you work 36-40 hrs a week. Then you are on your unit for 36 hrs/week until your contract is up.

I recieved an email in the morning that my chosen times were no longer open and recruiter asked me to call and schedule the interview. There were only two open slots on Tuesday. I just wonder how many people they interview vs. hire. I have my interview tomorrow and still waiting for flight confirmation. Good luck everyone on your interview!!!:nurse:

No I don't have any other interviews :( I applied for a bunch of them though but I never heard back.

I really hope you like the SICU. The staff seemed amazing which is why I wanted it so bad. I will apply again for the summer internships!

Does anyone know if they have started the interview process for the burn ICU residency. I haven't heard any thing yet and really want to know.

I have applied today for Med-surg floor. I don't know if I will still get a chance since they have been interviewing many of you already :(

Sigh.. I graduated this May 2013 and passed my NCLEX on July. I still have not found a job yet. This is so discouraging :(
