just looked at parkland careers and it seems that they have taken down all the nurse residency positions. Don't know if that is a temporary deal or they are officially closed.

checked parkland careers and "nurse resident" popped up. Doesn't give a location, just "nurse resident". All those that are still looking, give it a shot.

Thanks for the heads up! I searched for it and when I applied it said it was for 5E Neuro/Surg. It was first posted on 3/28 so not too long ago :)

great! key is to get hired somewhere, get the experience and then get the location you want whether it is in ER, SICU, MICU, wherever your heart leads you. I was turned down YEARS ago for the parkland internship and i got hired in at 6West. A great learning experience and then i got into SICU residency. I eventually moved up to management in SICU. Being turned down by the internship was probably a great motivating factor for me!

Oh I totally understand. My heart is for the NICU but right now I just want to start working as a nurse, learn as much as I can and perfect my skills. I was heart broken when I was turned down for the NICU residency but I know I will make it there eventually :)

I just looked at my list of jobs I have applied to on ParklandCareers. It shows that I already applied to 5E residency back at the end of Feb. I wonder why they reposted it a month later?
