Just wanted to let ya'll know Parkland has posted the ER residency for July 2014 if anyone is interested. :)

I had my interview for ER residency today. I think it went well. Probably a week before they let people know yes or no...

I am also waiting to hear from L&D. I received the email saying my application was forwarded to the hiring manager, almost 2 weeks ago, but nothing after that.

Sorry so late for people that are going Wednesday, but I interviewed today with 3 managers and 1 RN they were all really nice. They were running about an hour late. So be prepared to wait. They asked questions like tell us a time you had conflict and how did you handle it(with a patient and with coworker) your strengths, why ER, about parklands population, name a time were you had to implement change and how did it turn out. Sorry I had 2 interviews today and I just got off work so my memory is a little bad. When I asked what they are looking for they said some one who is flexible, will to learn, acceptable of constructive criticism,works we'll under pressure, pace themselves bc they can get burned out really quick, and that's all I can remember. Good luck, they were really laid back!

Do any of you know what the residency hours are for the classroom portion? I heard it was M-F but I wasn't sure of time frames...thanks!

No I believe it's for 16 weeks, but I didn't ask the time
