Parkland ER Residency July 2014

Published

Hello,

Just wanted to let ya'll know Parkland has posted the ER residency for July 2014 if anyone is interested. :)

No, nothing. I tried calling to get more information, but the person that answered just said the process takes 2-6 weeks and if they are interested they will be in contact with you.

I was hoping it would be sooner than that! I'm glad you told me though - I was planning to call HR tomorrow and try to get some info! Hopefully we will hear something sooner rather than later

So I called hr about the posting of the burn ICU residency. The lady told me that if the posting has been taken off the site, then that means that they have filled the position. Is this true?

I would say yes and no. The job has CLOSED but usually there is either a job offer or rejection email after that. ER is notifying us this week about offers and the job posting was closed on march 27th. Also, how many positions were they filling? Were they going to let you know yes or no? Think that would be a nice courtesy so you are not left hanging and waiting. Good luck, be persistent!

Remember, there are residencies in the fall at parkland for most of the units so keep looking, keep searching, don't give up!

Hello all! Good luck with your interviews and prospective job offers. I have a question if I may ask. I am in TCC's nursing program. Is parkland hiring ADN nurses or only BA? Any of yall applying with an ADN? Just trying to get an idea of the job market out there.

I appreciate the response. I'm not from tx so I don't have any of the hiring people's contact information. I just call the hr and they don't really know anything

Hi! I'm an LVN about to graduate with ADN. They do hire ADN. She suggested not to start a BSN the same time as this if accepted. Hope that helps.

Parkland is one of the last places that hire ADN. I believe methodist and baylor are going only to BSN new grads. They usually will require the bachelor's if you want to move to educator, management, etc.

To those who are waiting on L&D, I just spoke with someone from HR and they said they have already started the interview process. Unfortunately, I haven't heard anything back yet.

Thank you for the responses! I am working on my classes for a BA program and plan to bridge immediately after finishing. Long term I want to get a masters and I though this made sense financially as well as I could get a head start in working while finishing my BA. Good luck yall! I can't wait to be where yall are.

Hey guys! Has anyone heard back if they got an offer or not? I interviewed for ER last week and am super nervous!!
