Sorry so late but I see you found it! :)

So Veronica just told me they aren't hiring ADNs for ANY of their residencies, unless you are an internal candidate with an ADN :(

I will only have my ADN and got offered an interview....why would they interview if they know they aren't hiring us?? :(

I know, I don't understand it either... I asked if they would be hiring ADNs for the hospitalist residency and these were her exact words:

"No ma'am not for any of our residency programs, only our internal candidates will be considered with a ADN"

Which residency did you get an interview for? I interviewed for NICU but didn't get hired. It's just weird because I have classmates that got hired for Parkland's spring residencies..

I have an interview for Neuro PCU on Wednesday. If that is true, it is very frustrating. I am originally from Texas but my husband was military so I am attending nursing school in Florida and moving back to Dallas right after graduation. I had to spend almost $400 for a plane ticket to come interview for a job that they potentially won't even consider hiring me for..... I emailed Veronica about the ADN thing so we will see what she says to me.

Gosh, that is super frustrating!! Please let me know what she tells you. I really hope everything works out for you. Honestly if you got the interview I think you've still got a chance at the job. Like I said I've got friends with ADNs who got hired on for Parkland's Spring ER and Inpatient Rehab residencies so something isn't adding up. Why would they give us interviews if they have no intention of hiring us?

Thanks for your recent post about the L & D nurse Residency here at Parkland. Any one that applied to the posting that was removed will be moved automatically to the new job posting. You do not have to reapply. There was an issue with the first posting so it was removed and once it was corrected, I reposted and moved all applications to the new job posting. The manager is currently reviewing as many resumes as she can and if you are selected to interview, I will contact you to get that scheduled. I just wanted to make everyone aware that has applied that your application is still valid and being reviewed.

Thank You

Veronica Benton
