Hi all,
I'm somewhat new to this forum. I applied to Parkland's MICU and SICU residency. I've already received the email saying my apps were forwarded to the hiring manager. I'm looking for any info on what the hiring process is like, far as, how long after receiving the email did you get an interview and also any info on how the residency works. My dream is either to get into the ED or one of the critical care areas. I know this would be a great opportunity to be employed at a Level I trauma center. Any advice, tips, connections and info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
On Monday orientation is in the MacGregor Wood Day Auditorium which is on the 1st floor in the main hospita @8 doors open @7:15. To get to the auditorium after you get off the shuttle and go through the breezeway go through the main doors and it should be there. It's business casual. I'm assuming the nurse educator will tell us on Monday what we can wear for the nursing orientation. I know the only email we should be getting is the one containing the official offer letter but I'm not sure exactly what day that will be this week.
Wow, I must have really missed something. After I submitted my vaccination record, got my tb done and looked at, and drug test, I was sent on my way. I was not given any folder. I'm going to call my recruiter tomorrow and inquire on the new hire folder and see if I missed vital info or if it can wait til Monday. This is upsetting. :/
There wasn't nothing major in there. I-9 form, the sheet about orientation (directions and attire). When I finished up with occupational health I asked for the recruiter and she came and gave me it. But she was under the impression that we had received the folder during the interview. The I-9 form she said to bring to orientation.
Hmmm, I didn't get a folder either, but I did get an e-mail with a letter with that info in it. When I did my drug screen I only went to Concentra and they said that was it. Was I supposed to go over to occ . health? I just wish we were a bit more informed. Everything seems to move slow and info comes in bits and pieces. :/
lol, I completely agree with you Kimmy! and thank you babigrl! I called my recruiter and she said that in the next few days we should receive info regarding what to expect... She did confirm that monday is business casual and the rest of the week we can wear scrubs. If its the tax form that I dont have, I am sure it can wait til monday.
This dream of mine is seriously about to start; 6 more days!!!!
