I need some help or advice. Took the nclex yesterday. It shut off at 75 and I had at least 30 select all that apply questions I swear. I left feeling horrible and in tears most of the long drive home. Still don't see my name up on licensing page and the gut wrenching panic that is setting in is unbearable. It felt so hard. And I graduated this may with an almost 4.0, did well in the program, studied hard, took thousands of practice questions..... im at a loss. I heard from some of our instructors that a lot of SATA was a good sign but now that I research it a lot of people say its a myth and they keep throwing them at you if you do poorly with them but I thought the cat only gave you more questions on a certain topic if you weren't strong in that area, not a type/format of question. I don't know. ... losing my mind with fear. Anyone know if it's common to pass or fail more worth a 75 shut off?????
Please. ... anyone......

Omg. Same boat. Tested this morning. Had 20-25 SATA. Felt like I knew nothing. Sick to my stomach waiting for results....I don't have any answers, but know your not alone.

Calm down. You have to fail pretty badly to not pass at 75.
Thank you. Your comment sincerely helped. It helps to know you're not alone. I'm sending good thoughts your way. Good luck
So your saying more likely to pass at 75 than fail?
I also swore I'd never do the Pearson vue trick, but now I am pretty tempted. The wait is killing me. Others in my cohort got results same day, within 6 hours of finishing.
I know.... im trying to hold out for at least 48 hr quick results (tested yesterday afternoon) but the pvt is so tempting but seems like it can be inaccurate too......idk.Did you take afternoon test slot or morning?
Morning. You?

The only thing that you can gather from having the NCLEX shut off at the minimum is that you either passed very easily or failed pretty miserably. There is NO in-between. If the NCLEX goes even 1 question beyond the minimum, you cannot say you solidly passed or failed. Given that you both are about 24 hours out from taking the exam and you have (hopefully) the option to do the Quick Results, I'd say you should wait for the QR to become available as it's much cheaper for you should the PVT initially show a "bad popup" and you ultimately pass.
Beyond that, don't panic. You cannot change the outcome of this exam. The time for panicking is well past. Enjoy this time because you're done with the exam.
