Just wanted to make a thread for fellow applicants at Palomar College Nursing Program for the Fall 2025 semester. I applied, it's my first time applying. I think if they count all my points I will be at 89 points. I applied at Mira Costa as well, but as many of you know, the lottery system is a complete gamble.

So far, I have received an email that my application had been accepted and the email specified that they hope to be issuing decisions by mid-April to may.

Good luck to you all.

Just to chime in here. I spoke with one of the counselors that specifically works with the nursing students and she informed me that any college level language course counts and its counted as a point. So if it's 101 only that's 1 point, if you take more that's additional points. I took one language course and she told me that counts as a point.

I was able to get all points on that section because I'm already a Spanish speaker and just had my work supervisor sign off that I spoke a second language at work. If any of y'all are in a similar position, I'd say just ask your supervisor to do you a solid and sign off on it

Not Palomar. But just got off the waiting/alternate list at Mira Costa and was officially given a formal acceptance for the Fall 2025 session. So excited! still waiting on Palomar's decision since it was my first choice. Really hoping that y'all get your well deserved seat!

Congratulations! See ya at orientation if you end up going with Miracosta  :)))

Thank you! And likewise. Two nurses I work with have highly suggested MC so I'm definitely leaning towards it now!

Yes I've also heard so many great things about Miracostas nursing programs , they also just built a $29.7 million facility that provides training facilities, simulation spaces, patient and operating rooms, and hands-on skills labs. It looks like an actual hospital!

Probably tomorrow. Since Friday was the deadline for some to either accept or decline their seat. So then they'll move on to whoever was next in "line.” That's my best guess

Excited yet dreading tomorrow ;-;

Goodluck everyone! 🤭

Standy points-based offer accepted this morning at 9am.

I had between 85-89 points depending on how they counted.
