Members are discussing their experiences with receiving responses from a school regarding their application status for a nursing program. Some members have received acceptance emails, while others are still waiting or have received rejection emails. There is also discussion about orientation dates, points-based selection, and being placed on standby lists.
Just wanted to make a thread for fellow applicants at Palomar College Nursing Program for the Fall 2025 semester. I applied, it's my first time applying. I think if they count all my points I will be at 89 points. I applied at Mira Costa as well, but as many of you know, the lottery system is a complete gamble.
So far, I have received an email that my application had been accepted and the email specified that they hope to be issuing decisions by mid-April to may.
Good luck to you all.

I thought we need three language courses to get the language points. I have one class done, if we only need 2 I might take the second one.

They will eventually reach out with their decisions but it is unlikely they will tell you if you were missing or incorrectly submitted something in your application. If you do either of those things they will just omit the points in your total. This is from their website.
"The application process takes several weeks to complete.
Once accepted applicants are selected, we notify them in groups. Not all applicants are notified at one time.
All notifications are sent to the email address provided on the application.
Every applicant will receive a notification of their admission decision.”
"Written Statements
Word counts listed on the Multi-Criteria Point sheet will be enforced. You will not receive points if you do not meet the minimum counts.”

It depends on the school. Some are three and some are two, or you can get the proficiency form signed. Did a counselor tell you three college courses of a language?

Just to chime in here. I spoke with one of the counselors that specifically works with the nursing students and she informed me that any college level language course counts and its counted as a point. So if it's 101 only that's 1 point, if you take more that's additional points. I took one language course and she told me that counts as a point.

Wow! That's great news. Thank you.
