Pacific Union College acceptance

Published

Anybody else get accepted into Pacific Union College that is starting in January 2016. I received my letter last friday and couldnt be happier. :)

Hello ZhemingCao,

I applied a year ago to the 2016 lvn-rn program. I start in January 2016 at the Napa campus. It took a few month to hear back from the school, atleast 4 months which almost killed me. :nailbiting:

Hopefully you hear back from them a lot sooner then I did. Which campus are you applying to? The Angwin campus or the Napa campus?

Wow, that's so long! Hopefully I hear them soon. I apply Angwin, coz I am not LVN. Good luck!

Oh ive heard many wonderful things about the angwin campus and their nursing program in general. Ive heard that the program is great and that they have a high passing rate as far as the NCLEX passing rates. Good luck to you as well.

Hello ae1021,

I am finishing my LVN, then going to apply at PUC. I have heard nothing but great things about the program. I have some friends that did their LVN to RN there, and are now finishing up their BSN degree. I can not WAIT to be on this next phase of my education. I'm meeting a councilor in Feb to discuss my options. I have a question, do you know if they have more then one start date for the LVN to Rn program. Does it just start every Jan or do they have a couple start dates like spring or fall? Have you started yet? Best of luck to you :) VERY EXCITING!

If you are going to live in campus be prepared to eat hardcore vegetarian food. You know, no dairy, no real eggs, etc. But yeah, it's a great but expensive program.

Were you previously a PUC student before applying to the program?

Hi! I'm transferring to PUC this fall. I have a couple of prerequisites left and then I can apply for the program by next Spring! I am super excited! It will be a big move because I don't have any family near by and Its hours from where I live now. Is it really hard to get in the program? I'm nervous about making the move if it won't be worth it in the long run. When I ask the nursing department for my chances of getting in they are very vague and say that if I continue to get A's and B's that I will be a strong competitor, however I got a C last semester in one of the prerequisite classes and I'm an average B student and my GPA is not great.

Can any of you tell me how the week long clinicals work for the LVN to Rn bridge program??

Hello! I have applied to the LVN to RN and PUC as well. I'm also from Fairfield! I've never applied to big kid college before some I'm real anxious. I don't hear about results till June. I was wondering, since you should almost be done or already finished if you can give me an insight of how I stand of being accepted, based on what you've experienced? I have a 3.28 GPA scored 82% on my TEAS and 28 on my ACT's. Think I stand a chance? My GPA's a bit on the lower side so I'm real nervous heh.

Hopefully we can get in touch!

Can anyone tell me how long it takes to get notification of acceptance or denial for Pacific Union? I applied a little over a month ago to the LVN to RN program. I am wondering how long it will be before I hear. I am waiting on pins and needles!
