Pacific Lutheran University (PLU) BSN 2018-2019

Published

Hello! After reading multiple posts I haven't seen anything about the 2018-2019 applications for PLU's SoN.

I have submitted my application, has anyone else?? Feel free to comment!

Did you receive an email before the letter as well or just the letter?

Hi all! I have a friend from pre-reqs who applied for this round, so I thought I'd pop in. I wrote last year's thread and am going into my 2nd year of PLU's nursing program after next month (time flies!)

Just to let you guys know, me and at least one other student I know for sure did not get an acceptance e-mail. We just got the letter in the mail. Some people get either one or both--it's pretty random.

If you have any questions about what things are like, you're more than welcome to reply.

Also huge CONGRATS to everyone accepted! For those waiting, keep your head up high! This wait feels like forever, but it'll go by before you know it

Any update from anyone else ?

No news from me yet.. I called last week and the lady said they will be sending emails until the end of June for those who submitted before priority deadline. Fingers crossed. Keep checking your email !

I got my letter in the mail on Friday. I turned in my application before the deadline which I believe was Feb 1st! I think there was a later one as well. I will not be taking my spot in the PLU Nursing cohort for Fall 2018. I have chosen another school in Seattle. So that will open up one spot:) Good luck everyone!

Congratulations on getting into the school in Seattle and PLU! Thats awesome! Best of luck to you!

Thank you for commenting! You definitely just eased some of my nerves. How is it so far? Are you enjoying it?

PLU has also been calling students to confirm enrollment spots in the program.

Really? Did you get as well? Or just heard about it.

I got an email, a letter then a call yesterday!

Oh wow, lol. They're on it.

I submitted my application and got a confirmation email on December 20th and was contacted again at the end February saying they were getting ready to review applications and needed an updated transcript.

My stomach is in knots waiting to hear back. I am so stressed I am physically sick, and I can't imagine waiting a whole year to reapply.

My cumulative gpa is a 3.77, nothing lower than a 3.3 in my pre-req course work.

I have my Associate in Pre-Nursing and I have three years experience as a CNA in a hospital setting. I feel like my essays are strong.

I applied to UW, was part of the top 250 to go participate in a proctored essay, but I heard back a couple weeks ago and wasn't accepted.

REALLY hoping PLU accepts me.

I actually emailed someone because I didn't think to ask at the information session what the method of contact would be about an admission decision. She got back to me promptly this morning saying that they will send a letter in the mail about a decision and they have started sending some out but due to the large number of applicants the rest will be mailed out at the end of June.

Try to rest and stay positive girl. We still a while until the end of June. I know how you feel too though, I am a nervous wreck but just trying to keep my mind off of it. Your GPA and your prereqs are good girl. I actually just attended the information session yesterday and she told me that they were emailing as well as sending out letters. But I'm glad they got back to you this morning. At this point its good we don't have anything cause we haven't been rejected yet but it could also be bad lol. I definitely feel like your application is competitive enough to get chosen. You already have your associates and you have experience. Keep your spirits high! Im just focusing on the classes I'm currently taking at the moment to try and keep my mind off it.
