Hello! After reading multiple posts I haven't seen anything about the 2018-2019 applications for PLU's SoN.

I have submitted my application, has anyone else?? Feel free to comment!

Hi everyone! I got my acceptance email today as well! Mine on the other hand was for the Spring 2019 cohort. Congratulations Tclark6!! Are you a transfer student?

Hey guys. I just received my email today and I got into PLUs Fall 2018 cohort!

Has anyone else heard back?

Congratulations Tclark6!! Thats awesome !! Do you mind sharing what your application was like? Im over here going nuts.

congratulations futurebsn_EB !!! I know you had been waiting for this nerve wracking moment !! See I told you your essays were going to be okay! Im glad you got into your dream school. I am very happy for you !

Thanks guys! Yeah for sure no problem. I applied to only UW last year hoping that would work out. Well I got down to second on the wait list and it didn't workout..

I've been working in a hospital for 2.5 years now. Started out in L&D, then worked temp at UWMC on the cardiothoracic ICU as a tech! I am currently working as an ER tech and a tech on the ICU floors at children's!! I'm sure you don't need this much experience but I wanted to see various parts of the hospital. It has been a crazy last few years for me applying and I got super discouraged last year when UW didn't accept me. I currently have a 3.6 almost 3.7 pre req gpa I think and a same for cumulative gpa.. and lots of volunteer hours in different settings.

As for essays I spen a lot of time on them. Like A LOT. I had a few of my charge nurses at work and nurses who have their masters and work in admin to look over them. Same with my resume!

It's great to have goals and a certain school in mind! But that is not everything! I have also been accepted to SU, PLU and another school out of state. Not sure yet where I am going to choose because it's going to be a hard choice! But regardless I know somewhere someone will get off the waitlist and be super happy!

Good luck to everyone else! And don't give up on nursing if it's really what you want!

Let me know if you guys have any other questions

That's so cool, I'm glad you did not give up after you got discouraged. I currently volunteer at Mary Bridge in the emergency department and that is really the only experience I have so far. Kind of scared about my GPA because I am taking A&P right now and without it my pre req GPA is struggling a little bit lol, but well see. Praying I get in. Thank you for answering my questions.

Congrats to you both on getting in! I hope this means the decision letters will be rolling out soon!!

Im wondering if theyre going to do letters at all cause they both received emails :/

Emails will work for me! It's much quicker. Keep the spirits high!

They sent out emails and the letters will follow in the mail. That's what my email says. So if you didn't get email you could call them. From last year a friend said if you didn't get an email you didn't get in or waitlisted.

Do you know if they sent out all the emails at once or a sporadically??

Trying to! This is so nerve wracking!
