Hello! After reading multiple posts I haven't seen anything about the 2018-2019 applications for PLU's SoN.
I have submitted my application, has anyone else?? Feel free to comment!

Hi there! It's great to see someone else on here for this year's application cycle. I too applied to the SoN back in January and am patiently (most days) waiting to hear something. I read some of the past posts as well and am thinking that some applicants may hear something by the end of April? Good luck to you!!
Yes! Finally! Someone I can talk to lol, Ive been about to pull my hair out about this application process. Is this your first time applying? Ive been checking my mail every day waiting for that letter or acceptance or rejection.
Yes, this is my first time applying! What about you? I too have been checking my mail every day in hopes that they send something early. I don't know if I will make it to June! Lol! PLU is my dream school, so I am crossing my fingers that it all works out! How do you feel about the application? Are you a transfer student as well? Have you applied to any other nursing schools?
This is my first time applying and this is my first school I've applied to. I do not think I am going to make it to June either! I do not really feel that confident in my application because I do not have a lot of experience and my grades are pretty average. Im going to retake some classes next quarter to boost my GPA but for now just awaiting the letter. I will have my associates from TCC by the end of summer so I will have the DTA. I haven't applied to any other schools because PLU was the only one that didn't require nutrition and I'm taking that next quarter. What about you? How do you feel about your application?
Awesome! I'm finishing up my DTA at Pierce this quarter. I'm pretty nervous about the application, mostly because of the essays. You never really know what they are looking for with those things! Remember that GPA isn't everything. There are so many other factors they could look at! Try to stay positive. I wonder what cohort they generally place transfer students in? This application has consumed my thoughts since the day I turned it in! I just want it to be June already! Lol
I feel pretty confident in my essays, I love writing so essays aren't usually a problem for me. My problem was my essays were pretty long and more than 350 so I had to take stuff out to shorten it. People have been telling me GPA isn't everything but theres always that what if in the back of my mind. I am just ready to move forward with my career already. They will probably place only a select few in the fall semester and a bigger portion in the spring semester. I would like fall cohort but I do not really care at this point as long as I get in lol.
And I definitely agree, I have been going nuts since I turned in my application. Did you make the priority deadline?
Yes, I got an email from the SoN back in February stating that my application was "complete" before the priority deadline. What about you?
I know what you mean! I am SO ready to be a nurse. I have my NAC, but haven't had the opportunity to work as one yet. I wanted to get my transfer degree finished up first. Do you have any nursing experience?
Same. I literally turned it in like a couple days before it was due but I received a notification in my email that it was complete and submitted before the priority deadline so I made it.
I have no nursing experience which also scares me. I went to college straight after high school and have been working on my pre reqs to become a nurse ever since. I am volunteering at Mary Bridge though to boost my resume in the future.
That's great! I'm sure you'll gain some great experiences from volunteering. I'll let you know if I get anything from PLU in the mail. Crossing my fingers for sooner rather than later!
Yes, so far I like it so hopefully. And same here! I will post and mention you if I get anything in the mail.
