HI is anyone applying to Pace CDP program in Pleasantville for the Spring semester?

Thank you very much for posting your scores, that was very helpful. What I don't understand is how they could consider your scores low, 600 on the math that's excellent!

blue monday, when did you send in your application? i sent mine out in august and they keep telling me to be patient! im going crazy, and have already sent in my deposit for another school.. but i really want to go to pace! what kind of scores did you get on your gre?

Hello. I will also be attending Pace. I submitted my application in late September/early October. A week later, I called to make sure they received ALL of my college transcripts.

I submitted my final document on October 22nd, the day I took the MAT. I faxed the MAT score report and called to verify if they received it. I also asked if they would be able to make a decision WITHOUT the OFFICIAL MAT score report. She said yes and explained to me that the committee meets and then makes their decision. I guess they met on Oct. 29th. Thats when I received the e-mail congratulating me on my acceptance.

CALL... It has been to long since you completed your application.

JomaJoma, I am still praying :bowingpurfor you.

To JomaJoma, Lola89 and Santa419, I hope you ALL get in. Good luck guys. Hang in there :hngon:. Keep us posted.

Hey guys, I found out that I got into PACE. Woohoo. Thanks Snelly for the prayers. I hope everyone else hears good news!!

To all of you who started in January: Can you give us an update on how the program is doing? Is it harder/easier than you anticipated? I am applying for Jan2010 and look forward to reading your replies.

Thanks

D

Hi djmsailor, the program is definitely not easy, but it is doable. Just make sure you have good time management. My only advice to you if you go there is make sure you have your financial aid squared up way before you start school, but trying to get it done when school starts is a pain. And you are probably going to have to get some private loans, so do the research yourself because the fin aid office is not going to help you.

Hope this helps...

I just applied to Pace's CDP for Spring 2010, too. I'm trying to get a sense of what kinds of grades and scores people have who are getting in and what kind of grades and scores people have who are not getting in... It's hard to get a handle on that. I had almost a perfect 4.0, summa cum laude undergraduate degree, but tanked on the GRE's (only got 500 math, 460 verbal and 5.0 on writing). I'm taking the GRE's again, but I'm a little worried about that. I have mostly A's in the prerequisite classes, but got C+ in A&P I and II when I took them over the summer. Uggh!

I also had a really successful 20-year career in business and got all kinds of awards and stuff..., but I'm not feeling like this is a slam dunk.

Anybody have any thoughts they can share with me?

can you share what kind of grades and GRE scores you had?

Hi. I'm really curious... they told you your GRE's were too low? Can you share what your GRE scores were? What were your undergraduate grades? Did you get into Pleasantville in January? I hope so! Let me know!

Well I got a 600 in math and something in the 400s for verbal. I also took the MAT and got a 413. I have no idea if that is good or bad. My grades from undergrad were ok, got a BS in Biochem, and I have a masters in Biomedical Science. To be honest with you, I would look into some other problems also. I am finishing my second semester at Pace, and I have to say that this school is horrible. Financial aid is a pain, the curriculum is made in such a way that it is impossible for you to learn and retain any information, and there is this one teacher that is extremely horrible. Pace has a policy that if you get lower than a 77 then you are dismissed, and I received below the passing grade in one of the classes that was taught by this horrible teacher. 5 people got kicked out of the city campus because of this same teacher also. The nursing dept is not doing anything about this, so we are screwed out of thousands of dollars and time. I would just advise you to make sure you look at all your other options before going here.

Just my two cents..

Jomajoma-

They told you your 600 in math and something in the 400's for verbal were too low..., or was it when you had 400's in both that they told you that? I'm in trouble! I only got a 460 in verbal and a 540 in math, but I have just about all A's in all my undergrad and prerequisites (except darn C+'s in A&P I and II)...! I'm taking the GRE's again in a few weeks, but I hate that darn test.

maybesooninny,

I too am applying for Spring2010. My GRE scores are 570 verbal 660 math. I had 4 As and 2 Bs in the pre-reqs. I have no hospital work experience, but I am a volunteer EMT/fireman. If I get in I will be commuting from Eastern Nassau County. Good Luck.
