HI is anyone applying to Pace CDP program in Pleasantville for the Spring semester?
I think that Pace's program will be easier to get in to due to the higher cost. I also think that the fact that Pace changed some of the pre-reqs to co-reqs indicates they are having a hard time filling all their slots. Funny, I definitely don't see being able to do 17 nursing credits along with 4 A&P or Micro credits at once - that seems crazy.
Did you go to an open house? I went to one in Pleasantville the Spring. I definitely got the feeling after that that they weren't going to be too rigid about the entry requirements, but now that I think about it, that may have been a ploy to get a lot of apps. I dunno. I'm not hearing much about people who did not get in. Just one or two. Are you?
Do you know of any other nursing programs in the NY area? I'm thinking I'd better get a few more apps out, especially now that I've done the resume and gotten the recommendations and all.
Hey, does anybody know anything about how the Financial Aid is at Pace?
I submitted my FAFSA, but I'm trying to get a handle on how generous they are with need-based aid.
I have been unemployed for three years and have two kids in college, going to be three in college in another 2 years... so I really need the aid in order to go.

OMG I'm getting nervous. As I said, I had a fabulous undergrad record, from Pace, and won a lot of awards in previous (business) career... My prerequisite grades are all A's, except A&P I and II, which I got C+'s in... and my GRE scores are not good at all. Good luck to you, too! Sounds like you're a shoe-in.
If I get in, I'll just be commuting from Westchester, about 15 miles north of Pleasantville.
Have you looked in to Stony Brook out on Long Island? I think I'm going to try to get my app in there before their Sept 1 deadline as a backup, cuz Pace is no slam dunk for me.
