Hi,
My friend goes to Pace University and he rants and raves over the program. He is in the two year program and he said that he loves it. He said it is expensive, but good. He explained that he learns alot in clinicals and he enjoys it. I have also applied there for the CDP program. I have taken my GRE's but I have to take them over because I did not hit the 1000 mark that they require. The test was fine, I just had a 102 degree fever. I felt terrible and did not want to waste the $115 because you do not get the whole amount back. So I said let me try maybe I will do well as I had planned. Bad move. I was coughing, feverish, nausea, aching etc.. It was terrible. The reading passages made me dizzy so I was choosing any answer. I know that if I was well I would have done alot better. I am trying to get 500 or better on both sections as the admissions rep told me. So I received a little under 500 on the math and I was sick. So I know when I take them over, I will do better. I will be sitting for that 4 hour exam on Wednesday. Wish me luck!!! If you can, they have an information session on Thursday April 7th at 5:30pm in the Multi purpose room. If you can, you should go to find out more information about the program.
Good Luck!!
Is anyone currently in Pace University School of Nursing, or does anyone have any additional information on the school itself for me? I called yesterday about the program and one has to take the GRE to enter the program. Please advise.

Hi: Where is the meeting on April 7? Is that the NYC campus or Pleasantville? I need to tour the NYC campus.
Where do Pace students do their clinicals, as there is no hospital affiliated with the school? The application info said that you need a car!!:rotfl:
We have had a number of PACE student at New York Presbyterian. One group just finished up, but I believe they were in the accelerated program for students with a BS in another field. I'm pretty sure they also mentioned clinicals in other NYC hospitals.
You'll probably need the care to get to and or around the Pleasantville campus. While there is public transportation, I doubt it runs as fast or as frequent as you'll find in the city.
Thanks Pam.

1st part of program is in nyc, second part of program is in pleasantville.
MY UNDERSTANDING WAS THAT THEY HAVE 2 SEPARATE (BUT SUBSTANTIVELY THE SAME) PROGRAMS: ONE 12-MONTH ACCELERATED STARTS IN NYC EVERY SEPT AND THE OTHER 12-MONTH ACCELERATED STARTS IN JANUARY IN PLEASANTVILLE....I WASN'T AWARE THAT THERE IS ANY "CROSS-FERTILIZATION" BETWEEN THE TWO LOCATIONS, THOUGH...DO THEY MAKE THE NYC PEOPLE HIKE UP TO WESTCHESTER (AND VICE-VERSA??):angryfire
