Pace University BSN/MA- Westchester, Spring 2010

Published

Hello all!

Has anyone applied to Pace University's combined degree program in Westchester for this coming Spring? I just applied and I am anxiously awaiting my acceptance or rejection notice. I haven't taken the GRE yet (will do in August).

If anyone feels comfortable sharing their GRE scores or GPA, and whether or not they were accepted, I would be really appreciative.

Also, maybe if I get accepted, we could start getting to know each other before the semester starts.

Good luck to all!

I don't have the paperwork with me but as I remember lecture for the SPRING SEMESTER was Wed & Thurs clinicals vary depending on availability throughout the rest of the week. It will be very difficult to work as clinical hours change every time the clinical changes, which I think is every 8 weeks. I don't know if the lecture days will change for the Summer or Fall Semesters.

I got into the one-year program, but I had to drop microbiology, so I am going to apply again for the fall semester. They offered me the two-year program, but that was ultimately too expensive.

Their deadline for people submitting a non-refundable deposit was November 18, so they must now know how many people accepted. So I imagine that they will be contacting some people on the "waiting list."

Good luck, and if you don't get in, try somewhere else! Don't give up!

Mark --why was the two-year program too expensive? From what I could tell the educational piece is the same expense either way. The lost income in not being done for another year is a factor for me. I have three kids in college and have to start making money again fast. Was that what you meant?

Student, did you hear anything back yet?

It's complicated, but would rather finish my pre-reqs at community college and then do a one-year.

Hello all. Is there anyone from Dutchess/Ulster/Orange Counties attending the one-year spring 2010 program at Pleasantville?

Hey all,

Got accepted to Pace CDP for Spring 2010 in Pleasantville. Just wondering if anyone has priced out books, uniforms, etc yet? Thanks!

Hey Everyone,

I just joined the thread. I was accepted into the CDP program at pace for Jan 2010. I am enrolling into the two year part time program with all pre-reqs completed. It would be nice to get to know each other before classes start!

Have any MEN starting in January been able to find the required WHITE SHOES with enclosed heel? I went to two different uniform stores and neither had shoes that would fill the requirements. I guess I'll have to order online?

i am just forwarding an email ;

The Lienhard School of Nursing will no longer begin undergraduate clinical rotations in the spring semester. The initial clinical sequence will only be offered during fall semesters. There may be limited opening for next series which will begin in fall 2010.

I have 72 credits from a community college with 3.70 gpa. I am done with all pre-requises.

So, i didnt apply to this school for spring 10. I will try fall 10

My question is if you got in this school for spring 10. and they dont offer any clinical. So, which classes they are going to teach? mostly bio or psy?

I believe this is for NEXT spring. Everyone in the RN4 and the CDP programs are already scheduled for clinicals this semester. I know of many programs, both BSN and associates, that are switching to this type of format. It tends to make things a little less confusing since you can only take certain classes in certain semesters. Thanks for the info though and good luck if you do decide to apply in the fall! :)
