Pace University BSN/MA- Westchester, Spring 2010

Published

Hello all!

Has anyone applied to Pace University's combined degree program in Westchester for this coming Spring? I just applied and I am anxiously awaiting my acceptance or rejection notice. I haven't taken the GRE yet (will do in August).

If anyone feels comfortable sharing their GRE scores or GPA, and whether or not they were accepted, I would be really appreciative.

Also, maybe if I get accepted, we could start getting to know each other before the semester starts.

Good luck to all!

Specializes in Pediatrics, General Med/Surg.

Hey, do we have to start the first day with the blue scrubs and shoes, stethoscope, bp cuff and all? I know it was in the list of things we need, but they didn't mention exactly when we need to have all that stuff.

I know we need all those things for clinicals and I believe the Lab. I'm hoping they will tell us all that on Thursday at orientation. I'm planning on getting my scrubs then. Did you get the nursing kit? if so what is in it?

Went there today for the fit test. Very simple, only took 10 minutes. Didn't think to get the kit though. I have a steth and bp cuff already, what else is in it?

I don't know. :\ I'm an EMT so I already have a BP cuff and a stethoscope and trauma shears so I don't want to spend $200 if I don't have to...

Did you find shoes yet???

I'm an EMT as well (volli at East Norwich Fire Co) I ordered the shoes online shoebuy.com Bought Men's Merrell Encore Moc Pro. they were pricey though. But better to spend an extra $30 then to have your feet kill for 6 hours a day all year.

So true!! Are you commuting up here from East Norwich all year?

that is my plan! I have cousins that live in the area if there is a snow storm (or a late happy hour), but I have a 4 1/2 month old at home, so the wife won't tolerate too much of that.

Wow...that's some commute! Congrats on the baby too. Gotta finish school before I can have any kids, that was the deal I made with my hubby :).

It took about 55 minutes this morning. I plan on leaving early every day (around 6:30) to beat the traffic, then go to library or gym and swim/run/bike until class starts. then the same after classes and wait until traffic dies down.

Has anyone been able to access the blackboard textbook (Calculate with Confidence)?? I have been trying for days, and the instructions we got in the packet are either completely wrong, or there's something wrong with the website.

Help! :D

Also, orientation begins at 2 with a test before it at 12:30, correct? I don't think there's anything before so I plan on getting all my materials then.

go on to bb and under my organization (on the right) click on lienhard. the pdf's are under the documents menu on the left side. there are 3 pdf's under the heading "clinical computation exam review notification". i accessed it about a month ago and i just clicked on it again and it worked fine for me. if you are still having problems, let me know and i can e-mail you the pdf's, if you would like.

Thanks so much :D

You know, that thing wasn't there earlier (they autoenrolled me earlier today because they either forgot, or just were taking forever, lol) -- so I guess it just took a while to load. Poor quality scanning, some of the questions are so blurry, but doesn't look too bad at all - I was worrying about nothing I think, lol.

Thanks so much for the offer though, see you all on Thursday!
