Pace University BSN/MA- Westchester, Spring 2010

Published

Hello all!

Has anyone applied to Pace University's combined degree program in Westchester for this coming Spring? I just applied and I am anxiously awaiting my acceptance or rejection notice. I haven't taken the GRE yet (will do in August).

If anyone feels comfortable sharing their GRE scores or GPA, and whether or not they were accepted, I would be really appreciative.

Also, maybe if I get accepted, we could start getting to know each other before the semester starts.

Good luck to all!

Congratulations, JJ!

They asked for grades from my profs, too. My Micro Professor didn't have any numbers to report cuz we hadn't had any tests at the time, but wrote something nice. And they came back and said they actually needed grades from her, which she'll get them next week. ...I'm just curious..., what grades did current professors report? Were they all A's?

Congratulations again!

My micro grade was an A. My chem grade should have been around an 83/85..not exactly sure what my prof submitted. The fact that they asked has to be a good sign. It was about a week, maybe a week and a half, after my grades were submitted that I heard back from them. I got a phone call, then a letter two days later. Keep us posted!

Yes, I think it's a good sign. They came back twice, no less. Once to ask for grades and the second time to ask for more from the Micro prof. My chem grade reported was a 95, my chem lab grade was a 92.5 and my micro grade was unavailable at the time, like I said. We had a big exam last week. I'm not sure what I got, but that'll be what she submits.

.. so Mitch actually called you and told you you were admitted? I'll let you know what happens. Also waiting to hear from CNR, but Pace is my first choice.

Congrats JJSpring...looking forward to meeting you.

Thanks! Hey is anyone going to the session in Pleasantville on Wednesday 10/21? I haven't been to an info session yet and Mitch suggested I go.

Have you heard anything from PACE. I am in the same position as you as far as grades and GRE scores. Actually my GRE scores are a little lower. I have A's and B's and a C in chem. I just called them today and they are missing one transcript from a study abroad program but if I send it to them soon it is okay. Im applying to the accelerated program. okay then thanks. good luck

Hi Student -I just got my last grade to Mitch today. Got a B+ on the Micro mid term :yeah:and the prof was going to email Mitch with my grade today. So I have a 95 in Chem, a 92 in Chem Lab and a B+ in Micro... for this semester. I called and told Mitch the email is coming from the Micro prof with that last grade today which he requested I get to him as soon as possible. (He said get it to him this week b/c he's out next week.)

So, he requested grades from your current professors, too? I had all A's in everything, except C+'s in A&P I and A&P II, both, and the GRE's were nothing to write home about either. How about your undergrad GPA? Keep me posted and I'll do the same.

Did you ever hear from Pace?

no nothing yet.

but the application deadline was october 15th. so i think its too early to hear anything yet. what program did you apply to? when was your application due? have you heard anything more from pace? when would you start if you got in?

I applied to the accellerated combined degree full time day program - Spring 2010 (starts in Jan). The deadline for apps was 10/15 but I had mine in 8/11 and just about everybody I know heard back the first week or so of Sept. I still have not heard either, but they've had everything (including that last grade from my microbiology prof) for almost 2 weeks now. I'm going to call next week because I have to start making decisions.

Did they give you any sense of when you could expect to hear?

Humm now im a little worried. I am suprised to hear that everyone has heard back already. I figure I will hear around Thanksgiving maybe the first week of Dec? but that is just my own estimate. I also applied to NYU 10/1 and they said I would hear back between november -Dec 15th. I just turned in my application 2 wks ago so i expect it will take some time for them to review it and hear back from students who have been accepted. They have had a problem getting my transcripts from a study abroad program. I hope that they haven't counted me out because of that one transcript...I think i will call them again monday. ahh these applications are so frustrating.

Good luck. Let me know if you hear anything.

Naah. Some people I know who applied when I did got rejection letters right away, too. It kinda seems like if you're a clear cut yes or no, they let you know right away. It's those of us on the proverbial "bubble" that they're waffling on. If we were clear cut no's it almost seems like we'd have our decisions by now. Know what I mean?

...also, I applied in Pleasantville. Don't think I mentioned that. Did you apply to the same program I did?

I'll be sure to let you know as soon as anything happens... whether I speak to Mitch or get a decision, either way and you do the same, K?

Good luck! :nurse:
