  1. Hi smallcarbonfootprint, Congrats on your alternate position for the UCSF FNP program. I was recently noted as an alternate for the UCSF FNP 2013 cycle. I was told I am in the top 10 but the school was unable to provide a number and that a decision could be made as late as August 2013. I am looking for some advice about the alternate process; have you heard from UCSF, did they give you a date by which you would be accepted, and how were you notified of your numeric listing on the alternate list. This waiting game is getting stressful..! :) I would greatly appreciate any help.
  2. Hi I was recenlty noted as an alternate for the UCSF FNP 2013 cycle. I was told I am in the top ten and a decision could be made as laste as August 2013. My question is for anyone who has been an alternate for UCSF and what there experience was. Thank you.
  3. This is a very specific question but maybe someone could help. I am looking for information about the ER nurse residency program at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospitals, New York. I cant find any information online. Does anyone happen to know? Thanks
  4. i think you have a good chance of getting in. i had a 3.3 undergrad in anthro and a 3.5 in prereqs. i even had a C in chemistry. so i would recommend working on your essays they are a little intense. i also worked at a community clinic for a 1yr which i think helped. good luck. i think you have a chance.
  5. hello NYU students, I got my acceptance letter in the mail a few days ago (so excited) but have some questions about housing. It seems that all of the on campus housing is a shard room situation. I would rather have my own room. Is anyone looking for a roommate? Does anyone have any advice for housing? Thanks. Hope to meet you all soon.
  6. hi everyone, I got my acceptance letter in the mail a few days ago and am wondering about housing. It seems like all on campus housing is a shared room situation. I would rather have my own room. Is anyone thinking of living off campus? Does anyone need a roommate? Thanks Hannah
  7. Humm now im a little worried. I am suprised to hear that everyone has heard back already. I figure I will hear around Thanksgiving maybe the first week of Dec? but that is just my own estimate. I also applied to NYU 10/1 and they said I would hear back between november -Dec 15th. I just turned in my application 2 wks ago so i expect it will take some time for them to review it and hear back from students who have been accepted. They have had a problem getting my transcripts from a study abroad program. I hope that they haven't counted me out because of that one transcript...I think i will call them again monday. ahh these applications are so frustrating. Good luck. Let me know if you hear anything.
  8. has anyone heard from NYU? i called and asked if my application had been reviewed but the person i spoke to said she couldn't say. she could only say that my application is complete. Does anyone know if thats bad/good/normal? Im not a strong applicant (have a C in chem and undergrad gpa of 3.38) so im anxious to hear something. Has anyone heard different orhave any info to share? thanks
  9. no nothing yet. but the application deadline was october 15th. so i think its too early to hear anything yet. what program did you apply to? when was your application due? have you heard anything more from pace? when would you start if you got in?
  10. maybesooninny Have you heard anything from PACE. I am in the same position as you as far as grades and GRE scores. Actually my GRE scores are a little lower. I have A's and B's and a C in chem. I just called them today and they are missing one transcript from a study abroad program but if I send it to them soon it is okay. Im applying to the accelerated program. okay then thanks. good luck
  11. thank you so much for your reply! i feel like im going a little bit crazy thinking about NYU non-stop :) its great to hear from someone who has been through the same process.
  12. hello im new to allnurses and am applying to NYU accelerated program in October. i wanted to ask all of you who got into the program (btw congrats!) if you think i might have a chance of getting in for spring 2010. I have a BA from UC Santa Cruz in Anthropology with a undergraduate gpa of 3.38. For pre-rec i have: A's in Stat, physiology, Nutrition, Psy. B's in microbio and anatomy. And a C in chemsitry. I have letters of recs from my microbio professor and employer at Planned parenthood. I volunteered at Planned p for about 5 months before i began working there. I am wondering if i have a chance of getting in with a C in chemistry. Also would applying before the application deadline increase my chance of getting in?
