I'm so upset, I'm sorry to rant guys but I can't help it. I'm attending a LPN program. First off we started out our class with 32 people and we were down to 24 last week. So Friday we had a test over pediatrics and 11 people fail (75 and below) so they decide to give points from a "critical thinking" quiz that they gave out at the time of the test onto our test grade which is good but leaves me with a 74 :uhoh21:. Well yesterday we take the retest and there was no extra quiz and the test seemed sooo much harder, so I end up with a 64 a 64! :angryfire And they can't even tell us this at school we had to find out at clinicals in the Nursery conference room, so we all walk out crying........... Now I hear that next year they have decided it would be different because there is too much material in the section to go over in one week. I have given up so much to attend this class, I'm not even working right now so I can concentrate on the class. Anyway, thinks for listening guys I'm just so upset that I made it this far and then fail, we would have graduated in December. :banghead:

Sheesh! Is your final grade a 64 for the class? I don't understand why after you take the retest, why they wouldn't just accept the higher grade. Or maybe i'm not understanding this right. the whole thing sounds very frustrating and unfair! But please don't give up on nursing! -Christine
Nalini 34 Posts Jun 14, 2005 Our class doesn't take the overall grade we have to pass each test with a 75 or above. If we fail one test or miss 8 hours of class (when we are there 40hrs a week) we are out.... We are talking with the dean but I'm not sure it will do any good. I think I'll end up taking pre req for the RN program in the fall.......... Thanks for the support guys it seems a little extreme for an LPN program.
