Out of attempts for NCLEX

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hello,

My state recently changed their requirements on the time you have to pass boards, unfortunately for me I can no longer take the RN in my state unless I go back to school now. IS there anything else you can do with a Nursing Degree without your RN? Thanks!

Specializes in CCRN, PCCN.

I mean, I know its not the RN, but have you tried taking the LPN exam? I know someone that did that. He couldn't pass the NLCEX RN, but he works as an LPN now. We went to school together and graduated with a BSN. Its maybe something you can consider.

That also depends on what state you're in; some states permit RN students or graduates to write the NCLEX-PN without attending LPN school, some don't allow you to write the exam unless you are a graduate of an LPN program
