She said you need about 50% correct on the entire exam to pass, which is pretty true and we've all known that for ages. But she claimed you can miss EVERY single pharm question, or every single question on a specific topic.... and still pass as long as you did well other places. But how is that true if you have to be above the passing standard in every section...including (basic care and comfort, infection control, PHARM, reduction of risk, etc)..? I'm just wondering if I'm missing something there, or is she just plain wrong. I don't plan on missing every single pharm, but a lot of people said they guessed on 95% of their pharm questions, so I was just wondering if that's true?
To those who didn't pass, what did your report say? Did it list those specific sections(pharm, infection control, basic care and comfort), and say near passing or not? Or did it list other sections?

I do not believe I got any of my pharm questions right because I had to guess on them due to not recognizing the meds. I passed. It depends upon the test setup. I could see how one could miss all of the pharm questions and still pass. I believe your instructor is correct, but no matter what the situation, you need to know a good deal of the material in general, in order to answer correctly and to pass. No sense in wasting time and energy trying to figure out the ins and outs of the test. Concentrate on learning the material, that is enough of a task. Good luck.
That's my plan haha. Just thought I'd ask that one anyway. I don't care how they grade it or how much of each I get..I just gotta pass the thing, whether it's easy or hard.

Hi ! I do not believe that I got my medication questions correct. I only recognized one or two and I am not sure that I got those correct. I had many.So who really knows. I do believe if you get more right then wrong you will pass. I guess the key is to stay in higher level questions.... Best wishes on your Nclex:)
