Hey there! I am looking to apply this fall for the 2018 OU ABSN program. Any others find their way here yet?
I am still finishing up my first bachelor's degree but will be done in Dec. 2017. I was told that I can still apply in the fall.
I am expecting rejection or waitlisted due to the fact that I won't be finished with my degree, and my cumulative gpa is pretty rough. Hoping to have a 4.0 in last 60 and a 4.0 in Science with a pre-reqs completed to give myself a shot.
Hey SK, me again. Same end result as you about vandy. So, I haven't decided if I'm going to go to OU or not, because I was accepted to Collin College's ADN program. It's appealing because I don't have to move from Dallas, and I can reapply to vanderbilt (if I ever get over being sour about it) with an ADN but we'll see

You know when it came to Vanderbilt, in the week leading up to the decisions being released my husband and I had some unforeseen circumstances come up and it was a blessing in disguise really. I never got the warm fuzzy feelings from Vanderbilt. No one was ever overly helpful or friendly. The whole "they look at you holistically" was a load of crap if you ask me. Besides, I'll save myself 60k+ going the ABSN then NP route here in Big 12 country / Texas.
Either way let me know which way you decide to go!
Has anyone had details emailed to you about orientation? I've seen the updated website with the March 30th date but haven't had communication with anyone about the details and wanted to check if others had.
Still nothing here. When I emailed OUHSC they said orientation would be in April, but the website says March 30th, so...? Has anyone heard anything else?
I received an email on Friday at my gmail address, the one I applied with and not the OUHSC account.

Additional Dates to Remember
Uniform and Supply orders will be discussed during Orientation.
Clinical preparation items (such as immunizations) listed on the orientation checklist must be uploaded by April 15, 2018. We will discuss this in greater detail during Orientation.
Final transcripts for any in-progress coursework or degree postings (as necessary) should be sent as soon as possible. Final transcripts should be sent to: OUHSC Office of Admissions & Records, PO Box 26901, BSEB 200, Oklahoma City, OK 73126.

Just got in off the waitlist and accepted my position! Angela said orientation is March 30th from 8-5pm. Looking forward to seeing all the OKC admits there! They also said we would get the the schedule for classes and maybe clinical cohorts
Does anybody know if we have to order scrubs through OU or if we are allowed to order our own? I have read from past threads that the color was wine or merlot? Not sure if that still stands true. Just trying to get my ducks in a row. I feel behind since I just got my acceptance letter. What all have y'all been able to upload and submit so far?

Sorry for asking so many questions guys, but since I got my acceptance late I think I am missing some information regarding orientation. What are we supposed to wear tomorrow and has a certain room been named for where we are supposed to go? I haven't been able to log onto my Student-self service and upload anything yet, so I am kind of panicking because i feel like I have nothing done.
