I would like to ask about the screening process in the ospital ng sampaloc for the employment in sta. ana medical center.

Has anyone here undergone the screening process? How was the interview and written exam like?

How many interview and exam will you undergo?

Hi! for those of you who have already undergone the process of application at Sta.Ana hospital, Can I just ask a few questions.

1) Where did you pass your application? Manila City Hall or Sta.Ana Hospital?

2)How long did they respond?

3)I read about written exams and panel interviews. Who conducts them?

4)Who would say that you land on top 50 or 100 spot?

5) All in all, how long was whole application process?

ospital ng sampaloc. thats what we think are legit applicants. because hiring started around november 2009. they give qualifying exams and do interview. which is internal. all applications run through people of ospital ng sampaloc. city personnel advised all applicants to pass it directly to ospital ng sampaloc beacuse it serves as the training ground. and since the lady hospital director there will be the one assumming the hospital director in sta ana (but theres a lot that happened. now a male doctor got the spot/hee's from gat andres i heard) then came february to march 2010 even april and may. of course people from the city personnel has their own nurses to back up. so they too accept applications and submit papers to be included. now aside from the exam and interview of ospital ng sampaloc. in which when you pass both you'll start training for around two months ( i think first batch started november or december 2009). there are a lot applying ang ospital ng sampaloc wants exclusivity/ so they can personally train and supervise nurses. so they can pick the better from the good and make the best out of them.

now alot including those who didnt passed the exam and interview in sampaloc came to city hall...to lpead their case. in order for the city hall to gain popularity among the applicants and give chance to the other competent and capable nurses who has potential. they conducted a qualifying exam.

500 nurses came from ospital ng sampaloc. most of us were already screened. by sampaloc people.

and yet on the day of the exam at plm i think february 2. another 600 names appeared on the list on which was forwarded by the city personnel. i remember correctly that when i went to city personnel january 2010 they told me to go directly in ospital ng sampaloc coz they are not entertaining applications in sta ana. coz they are entrusting and delegating all the screening to sampaloc people.

now in what we heard while applying in sampaloc. only those who passed in sampaloc exam and interview are qualified to take the exam in plm and be given chance to be selected to train and considered as sta ana applicant

now. exam days. 500 from sampaloc plus 600 from city hall. then around 100 walk ins who was referred again by city hall or they just heard theres gonna be a qualifying exam for sta ana. a friend informed them. etc.

not to islotae them but for us who passed the exam and interview in ospital ng sampaloc seesm to be unfair. coz those who failed where never given a callback or informed about the qualifying exam in plm.

a total of 1000-1200 took the test.

75 items for multiple choice question. 15 points for computation and then 10 points for charting. they told us there is a ten point bonus question if you can narrate how to go to sta ana hospital from ospital ng sampaloc. total of 100 or 110 points

march came in. i never expect that i will pass. its so hard. there are questions about leads in ecg that is co related on which part/wall of the heart is affected. computations that evolve from apothecary. etc.

i was called to have training orientation for sampaloc. they said around 2 weeks coz the opening is soon. end of march i guess. it never happened.

orientation day. they told our scores. 100 points only. i got 50. we were just 48 from our batch. there was a 3 batch ahead of us. those who had and currently training before the qualifying exam given by city hall. 1st to 4th batch a total of 140-180. they told us we were the only one who passed the exam. passing is 50. from the names given by sampaloc.

we felt assured we'll definitely get the job in sta ana. imagine were just 180 in total. good eneough for a tertiary hospital. we just need to finish training and of course pass the panel interview in city hall. we are priority because weve proven our worth skill wits. aside form the people of course with backer. tehy told us as much as possible they wouldnt be looking on backers, thats what the lady doctor told us.

we were called for panel interview. march 2010. we passed it. but of course not all of us. so from the 140-180 there still gonna be a casualty.

april came. another batch of new trainees came in. they are not form our batch. thought were the last one. coz that's what the ospital ng sam[paloc thought. now these people are the ones who didnt pass their application in sampaloc but in city hall. who happens to passed the qualifying exams.

batch 4a came. aweek later batch 4b then 4c and 4d. total of around 40.

so from 140-180 we became 140-220. still good competition. although its only in our batch that they gave us the test papers where we saw our scores. i got 38(multiple choice) in test I 12 in test II(computation). zero in test III (charting).

april 15 last day of volunteer. for batch 3 bacth 4. although batch 4a 4b 4c and 4d just had around 2 weeks to 1 month training in sampaloc all were cut off. coz sta ana is opening april 28.

we called personnel. just wait for the call they told us.

april 21 a set of volunteer nurses were called to report for sta ana. 3 people i know. 1 from batch 2. and two from bacth 3. whom which their scores in the quailfying exam is the same as mibne. 50/100.

i know people form my batch 4 who scored 75 68 63 72. definitely higher than mine and to people who are in batch 1 2 or 3.

we were not called.until april 27. a day before inauguration. i called city personnel. told me they already hired nurses for the position. a total of 50.

what they can give us is our ranking.they have a list of 200 people who made it to the top. considering exam and panel interview. morning they are giving ranks. afternoon they cut it. they told us so that there wouldnt be any comparison among applicants. my batchmates ranked were 63 85 89 150 140 175. most of them didnt got their ranking. too lazy to call that day.

the people i know who got hired on or before april 28. they dont know their ranking either.

now we asked whats the ranking all about.city personnel told it was the list they will follow on calling apllicants. they are now on the first 50. so just wait for the other call for the next batch.

they told us the 200 are all the applicants who passed the exam and interview among the 1000-1400 applicants. i asked them is it over all ranking? they told me YES. now another one asked them. they told her NO. it was just the list for N1 position.

not to brag but when i knew im ranked 75 i thought i can get an N2 position. i know some people from batch 2 and 3 and i can say im confident enough that in a way i can rank better than them. now questioning how come they got the job already. and since i knew people who scored higher in the exam than me and than them.

now city hall is giving us a fool when they told us that the ranking is not over all and its only composed of the exam. thats why its not a basis and not valid grounds for the hiring process. thats why their logical thing to do is call people randomly according to them.

now my score is 50 on the exam. im sure i nailed my interview. the panel loved my answers. i ranked 75. the guy i was with the interview his score is 65 or 70 he ranked 63. but some girls who scored higher than me in the exam score of 53-60 ranked 85 89 93 990 110 140 150 respectively. how come they ranked lower than me when in fact they got scores higher in the qualifying exam. so theres no way they didnt include the result of the interview in the ranking.

1. ospital ng sampaloc (they did for a time accepted it in city hall)...now sta ana is entertaining application papers

2. around 2 weeks- 1 month in sampaloc during our time

3.internnal screening by sampaloc (interview and exam) then officially by city hall

4.mam boom boom paw lah. or the people from personnel when we called april 27, 2010 (now they dont give the specific ranking but will tell you if you made it to the top 200)

5. forever. with all the backer system.anomalies.manipulation.scheming.lies.deceit and stuffs like that.

thats what we experience on good governance here in the philippines.

my n2 temporary friend informed me that yes items were dissolved for sta ana. and now they heard that the male hospital director said the opening/resume for hiring in all positions will be after 6 months. what????

they really have a contradicting sattement form city personnel. how come in 6 months. they arent filled up yet/ new hires in sta ana is still less than 100. not unless people with backers who are undeserving got in already

Deserving, How true that the person heading HRD is a colonel? What happened to the lady who interviewed us?

Lets not set our expectations that much. We might end up holding on to nothing. Stories like this frustrates me. However, I am still hoping that we would get what is due to us.

^i think its true that the new head of HRD in Manila is a colonel. i have the name with me but i cant post it here since it will be deleted anyway.

yes we cannot post link number names here. my friend told me. the lady who interviewed us i think was transferred to senate.

no i called city personnel earlier. talked with a boom boom pow on the phone. she told me they will resume hiring tomrw. now one friend called in earlier than i am she was told yes they will still call until end of july.

but with me she said a specific date. tom.which is 7/20/2010. but she said that not all on the waiting list will be called upon

gues the 6 months said my the male hospital director in sta ana is true.

so if they are around 50 in sta ana already. it wouldnt be too much if they will still hire another batch of 50. which means rank 51-100 were in.

if the 68 figure given by one of the ladies in city personnel is accurate when asked how many were hired already as og june 2010 then its rank 68-100 or up to 118.

no i read that some here ranked 8th and 55 i think is robocop and valium rn. so we better get connected so we can share details. if we get hired or called upon tomrw. ryt?

and i remember distinctively that when i called upon city personnel they told me there is only 1 remaining list for the applicants. which means us.... the top 200

so we should be expecting N1 position. now i will be shocked if im not called upon since im ranked 75. if they will tell us that we are not yet included beacuse the hirees are N2 or N3. when they clearly said that there is a separate list for those positions and the only on remaining to be called is Our list.

applications in Ospital ng Sta. Ana is already closed. We were told last feb when we took the exam that that we will be the last batch for the hospital. We were around 1400 takers and they will only need 150 nurses including those who has backers. Geez... I was like PBB or American idol that day very tight competition.

ryt and from that 1400 exam takers only around 180-220 had their training at ospital ng sampaloc. the last batch who had their training wer only 80 people. plus the prious batch 1-3 totalling 180.

and the list the city personnel had who as they said is the top 200 in ranking. are the only ones who passed the exam. and then the interview came in

called city personnel earlier they told me to wait until end of july. and yes indeed they are starting to call now. so better wait.

yup. calls were made allegedly. but for doctors and administrative staff positions. goshhh. wahat a bummer. anyway i still have patience to wait until end of july. as mam *** *** lahhhh said. its by schedule. and i specifically asked her about the hiring for nurses. if they will follow ranks. she just said that all those who passed the exam are the ones being called. ignoring the fact i asked if the ranking will be folloewd. and those who will get clearance will get hired. and yes. mayor already advised them to resume hiring.

on the other side of the story. 1 guy volunteering in ospital ng tondo or who is included to the ones called earlier given appoinment papers but no promo board yet and the item was dissolved allegedly.

he went to mayor office. talked with him personally. yup. he got access. nice.

and mayor said he's thinking or palnning to sign appointment papers by august. if time permits.

now another angle to look upon. another delay for our jobs. city personnel will have another reason to make us wait. until august. hope not.

my friends and i are planning to file a class suit or a formal complain to mayor *** if things don't ahppen as what it should be and accordingly to law and justice.

i don't think they are still accepting as of now. they have 4 batches of applicants still waiting to be called and the hospital is not even done fully yet.
