OSCE REVISION for NMC REGISTRATION

I am Wency, a registered nurse in the Philippines. I recently passed the IELTS (8.5, 7,7,7) and the NMC part 1 competency test which is the CBT. Now, I am preparing for the final test which is the OSCE. I am currently in the United Kindom particularly in Lincolnshire, and I would like to ask you guys if you know a training agency in the UK that provides training or preparatory course for OSCE because I am not confident to take it yet for some reasons that the Uk healthcare system is different from the Philippines perhaps they have different approach in providing care to the patients and etc.

Tuition fee for intensive revision for OSCE is not a problem as long as I can enroll for revision.

U can see the timer in each station

But ideally u should carry a fob watch to maintain the uniform

U should tell ur full name facing the camera over there.not nmc applicant

Fob watch is needed to monitor pulse and respiration ..its mst

Guys those who are yet to write osce

Some tips

1) In BLS , Check out for ur compression depth

2)don't forget- resus council steps - to assess scene for danger and check for response

3) follow ABC

4) Dont check pulse..

5) in ANTT wound dressing, follow all steps of handwashing while using handrub.

6)practice.. Practice..practice..

7) Practice within 8 mt.you will be able to complete within time

8) always remember HANDWASHING AND DOCUMENTATION

8)don't allow stress to overcome you.be confident...trust in God. Trust in you...keep praying

9)implementation- be vigilant,check for patient allergy and expiry of medicine

10)if injection,dont forget to change needle before administering

11) remember time limits

please kindly explain wiping the bottom trolley part. I thought you were meant to wipe the bottom trolley and then place your dressing materials on the bottom trolley. because i failed this station too in the OSCE and still donot know why. Please kindly explain. thank you

Hi, I've booked in for the 1st of July and already freaking out. Does anyone have any handy tips or things they found that tripped them up/not expecting??? Getting very lost in all the revision :(

I am confused about care plan and assessments, do we fill in the forms or do we ask questions ?

For the skills: refer to the Royal Marsden book. For patient journey print out the forms from the Nile website and practice filling them out - make up some patient scenarios and practice. In the patient assessment you will assess the patient and fill in the form.

Edited to add: for the patient journey you will treat the patient as though they are a real live patient. So do your assessments as though it's all real :-)
