My best advice is to study. Repetition is the key.
Of course studying is the key to passing a class.... But what I mean by advice/tips is any extra resource that u guys used to study for this class...and what should I expect before Tuesday??

I'm a little nervous as well. I did really good in Gen Chem, but I've been told by virtually EVERYONE this class is much harder.

O-chem is easy....u only have a few main elements to deal with-carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, maybe a little nitrogen....I found it to be much easier than general chem...just make sure you understand alkanes, and the rest will come along
I hope its easy...are all organic txt books essentially the same? I have one that my cousin gave me and I really dont want to pay 150 for the one my professor requires...I emailed my proffessor and she said some of her quiz/test questions come from the txt, and the rest from notes, so....I dont know if I should stick with mine or purchase the 15o$ txt....???

I'm in my 2nd semester of O.Chem. and if it wasn't for the cool labs I would hate it. I'm going into the nursing program in the fall and I don't really need it. If I wasn't so close to finishing my assoc. as a biology major I wouldn't have taken it this semester. The biggest thing that helped me was Chapter Tests that could be printed out that came from the textbook software. Really learn the first couple of chapters so you have your basics really down. If not you will hate yourself later. Good luck! :)

I absolutely loved Organic Chemistry! Easy, got an A. Hmmm... Advice, have someone re-teach the material besides your professor, the textbook I used this really smart guy on YOUTUBE his username is ChemGuy. He touches on virtually every subject in Organic and BioChemistry. Here's a link:http://www.youtube.com/user/bannanaiscool Hope this helps!!
Well the book that I used for general chem is the same book I use for orgo and biochem cause it's one big book. The thing that helped me most in gen chem was the little chapter tests in the back of the book which have the answers of course so I'd do it and then make sure my answer was correct (even though sometimes I completely forgot to do this). Apparently I have a very good professor so hopefully I can get an A or A- in this course, I need it to keep my gpa up.
