I'm taking organic and biochem this semester and going to my first class tonight. Are there ANY tips for studying or doing well in this class that you guys could offer?? I am super nervous about it because everyone has been telling me over and over how hard it is and how much they struggled. Any help you all can offer would be greatly appreciated!

Hello,
Are you in Nursing? These classes seem to me that are for pre-med students. If you are in Nursing, look into whether you need to take them. I've never heard of nursing students taking anything higher than introduction to chemistry or chemistry 1.
Just checking. :)

Intro to bichemistry is a pre-req for my CC's nursing program. We're going to cover organic, inorganic +& biochem. I had my 1st class today, it seems as if as long as you study +& read the material, +& don't miss any labs it'll be fine.

I was about to create a thread for this! I am taking it too for my BSN program. It was going well until my last lecture today. These isomers are starting to kick me in the head. Let's stick together to fight it. We can use this thread to share our struggles and how we were able to comprehend a concept if possible. My advice is to study a little everyday and practice. I have been going on youtube to get better explanations.
Wow! Thanks, I just learned something today!

Yep, I'm in nursing:) and we are just getting into isomers actually! I didn't think to turn to YouTube but that's a good idea, thanks! It definitely seems vital to study everyday and just go over the concepts as we build on them. Ugh it sucks! Happy to know I'm not alone :)
