OHSU BSN PDX program applicants - 2010

U.S.A. Oregon

Published

Hi,

Anyone else out there getting anxious to hear from OHSU's Portland campus for their BSN program? They said they'll notify in early May which is still a month away, but I just want to know now! It's my first time applying and the only program that I applied to this year, so I'm not counting on it.

Good luck to everyone!

:)

Congratulations Rachel good luck in your nursing pursuit!

Well the deadline is......tomorrow...so two more days until they can think about making phone calls for any/if any openings are available for the alt list applicants. Anyone else still counting down?

I am counting down now.

I wasn't until they called me, he-he.

I am trying not to have my thoughts interfere with upcoming AP final on the 16th.

I have to get an A, as my 3.73 pre-req GPA is not good enough for lot of schools.

Rachel, I can look-up university of Alaska BSN program, but why do you think you were accepted there?

Were your odds better there?

Good luck Larissa! Hopefully we'll start seeing some action on the waiting list tomorrow!

Same to you, MacKay.

Please, post if you hear anything.

I think I am done studying for AP tonight.

Good night

Nobody called me yet.

How about rest of the alternates?

Larisa-

Well I haven't heard anything yet today so my hopes are dwindling. :)

So the University of Alaska is the only school in Alaska with a Nursing program...so entrance is still pretty competetive. It doesn't compare to down here though because you don't get as many out of state applicants. They have both a two year and a four year program. The two year is actually harder to get into because you have all these kids graduating from High school applying. There is a wait though for the four year...I was actually accepted for Fall 2011 term. So I figure I will re-apply to all of these schools down here once more and have UAA as my backup since I was already accepted. But it's a great program up there! I highly reccomend it to someone who doesn't mind living in AK for a while. I did my pre-reqs there so that's why I applied.

No news here......tomorrow "fingers crossed"!!

MacKAy, I think it is time to look into the future and gear up for the next application cycle.

I'm not so quick to give up hope! Not much more I can do to prepare.....already have all of my pre reqs..plus completed and the only thing I could possibly do is retake some classes for better grades. Besides I am sure it takes time to process everything, we can't expect them to have such a quick turn around. After all, they are not as anxious as all of us ;) Well in the meantime I will be hopeful and know that if this is truely what I am supposed to be doing in life, it will happen. I am just going to set myself up the best I can to make it possible.
