Oregon Health and Science University 2014 cohort

Published

Hello,

I thought I'd start a thread about anyone currently applying to any of the OHSU Nursing programs for the 2014 cohort. I currently have three applications in with them: Accelerated BSN to MSN: Psychiatric Mental Health, Accelerated BSN, and the traditional BSN Program. Has anyone had any word from them? I know that the Accel. programs have closed both their applications. Any word on interviews or scheduling?

I am currently finishing up my preqs at PCC. I am working full-time and am just flustered. I hate not knowing anything with regard to where I stand or what type of candidate they are looking for.

Does anyone else feel similarly?

How did you answer your essay questions?

I'm curious for knowledge to see if I made the boat or missed it completely.

I have heard around 30-35 members. You guys are the first year doing the ABSN down there-- but they have a lot of experience with the Portland ABSN's groups (Summer and Fall cohorts now) It is challenging and intense, but life-changing and amazing all at the same time!

Oh I see. Great! Thanks for the info!

Just called Ashland OHSU. The summer ABSN cohort will consist only of 16 people! Yay! More teacher:student time!

Waiting for a letter from Portland... Ugh this is like torture. So soon!

Think they will call this week or just mail everything out next week?

I got a phone call about a week before I received a letter in the mail. But I'm California. I think an Oregonian that I talked to said she got her letter before getting a phone call. :-/ That was for the Ashland ABSN summer cohort though. Has anyone else heard anything from Ashland?

Last year they sent us e-mails before letter paper mail :) That was helpful, and if I recall, around this time.

Did they send the Fall cohort emails separately from Summer, or all at the same time?

Hi! I've been following this thread, but just now set up an account. I applied for the ABSN in Portland and just received an email sent this past Friday (4/4) stating I've been accepted into the Fall cohort. Check your emails! They said they will be sending the acceptance package via mail this next week. Anyone else receive any news yet?

Guess I'm out, again. Thought I was competitive with a 4.0 in my pre read. Guess it's not enough.

All at the same time :) we also had someone taken from the wait list the first day of class!

How do they pick people for fall versus for summer? If you're in one an you transfer?
