Hello,
I thought I'd start a thread about anyone currently applying to any of the OHSU Nursing programs for the 2014 cohort. I currently have three applications in with them: Accelerated BSN to MSN: Psychiatric Mental Health, Accelerated BSN, and the traditional BSN Program. Has anyone had any word from them? I know that the Accel. programs have closed both their applications. Any word on interviews or scheduling?
I am currently finishing up my preqs at PCC. I am working full-time and am just flustered. I hate not knowing anything with regard to where I stand or what type of candidate they are looking for.
Does anyone else feel similarly?
How did you answer your essay questions?
I'm curious for knowledge to see if I made the boat or missed it completely.

Any updates from anyone else on the alternate list for the 2014 ABSN program? I'm still hoping for a call as a "highly likely" alternate, but the likelihood seems to be dwindling by the day :-( Hard to stay optimistic, but I know they've admitted people right up to the 1st day of class in years past, so still a shot. Just hard to manage with working and giving 2 weeks to my employer.
Any additional information would be greatly appreciated.

@RTtoCRNA, I don't know how the Ashland program compares to Portland, but for us we didn't need to worry about compliance as much as they made it seem. You need to be compliant by the time you're in the hospital, which for us wasn't until the second term (no one ever asked us about it until then), and even then there was some flexibility. I had to re-start my Hep B series so I didn't end up finishing it until about 6 months into the program! So if it comes to where they're actually asking you about it (you put a little paper "passport" that faculty signs into your badge holder saying you're immunized and all that, which no one has ever asked me to see after it was signed) and you don't have everything completed, you can always talk to whoever is in charge about it and as long as it's for a good reason they can grant you "temporary compliance." So start working on it, but don't let it stress you out. I wish someone had told me it wasn't as big a deal as they made it sound :)
