Ontario Second-Entry Nursing

Published

Hi Everyone!

This is super early to talk about applying to nursing school for 2016, but it's always better to be well-prepared! Let's share some thoughts and help each other out!

I am re-applying to nursing schools as I did not get in last year, and planning to enroll to more courses for pre-reqs and to increase my GPA (I graduated with a B.A.)hopefully this year will be much better and with luck!!!!

I have a few universities in mind to apply -

  1. University of Toronto
  2. York
  3. Nipissing
  4. Western
  5. Queen's
  6. McMaster

Should I apply to more? Which one should I apply? I am super eager to enter the program and I failed once, failing twice is not allowed!

Feel Free to give me suggestions or ask questions! Here is a link I found online listing most of the second entry nursing programs.

Best wishes to everyone! Good Luck!

-Bon :)

My application status for Mac finally says complete lol. It's been incomplete for the longest time because it was waiting for my transcript from UofT. Hopefully they send out their admission soon! Best of luck everyone!

Have a lot of people received their offers for the Humber-New Brunswick accelerated nursing program? If people applied last year, how long did they take to get back to you if you were waitlisted? They've told me that they're sending out offers to people with a 3.5, and I have a 3.4, all this waiting is making me nervous.

I just got my offer from Trent. Still waiting on UofT as its my number 1 choice

I was waitlisted originally but got accepted off the waitlist in early June. I'm assuming this is when they got my final transcripts and re-ranked me on the list, since my average was much higher once my winter marks were included.

don't come to western, seriously, our program is terrible

From Class of 2017, Western-Fanshawe BScN program

The bottom line is I am embarrassed to tell people that i graduated from western nursing.

Western-Fanshawe Nursing is separate from Western Nursing isn't it? I believe the compressed program is on the main campus.

For those waitlisted for Queen's AST nursing, does it show up on your OUAC account?

Hello to all!!

Congratulations to all who have already gotten in, and for those who haven't do not worry there is still so much time.

As the Queen's University AST Nursing program Nursing Orientation Committee we are here to answer all your questions on why Queen's the school for you. Feel free too join the Facebook group: Queen's AST Nursing 2018 where we can address all your questions, the differences between programs and anything that's on your mind.

It would not show up on your OUAC, however for this time of year, it most likely isn't a waitlist but they may be waiting on further grades, etc.

Any more acceptances go out for UofT?
