Ontario Second-Entry Nursing (2015)

I know it's early, but let's get a thread going. 2015-hopefuls, share your thoughts, concerns, questions, and experiences here!

Hi! My GPA is very similar to yours, but when I asked the nursing department about last year's cutoff, they said last year's cutoff was a B+(7) and they expect that it will be higher this year. Is this the last 30 credits they are talking about? or is this cutoff incorrect? What do you think?

I spoke to the Program Assistant at York and she told me that the cutoff was a B+ in both overall and last 30. It's pretty competitive :(

But what confuses me is that there were people who were accepted last year with B averages :S. I'm sure it'll be higher this year though.

Hi there! I am hoping someone who has got into UofT can help me! I got into to UofT last week and my offer was posted on OUAC and my JoinID - however the offer package is being sent to my parents home which is my permanent address but I am working in another city right now and they are on holiday until next week so they can't check the mail for me. Would anyone who has gotten their offer letter be able to tell me how to pay the $500 deposit? I have already accepted my offer on OUAC but I know we have to pay the $500 to hold our spot! Any help would be appreciated!

Hey! You have to pay via certified cheque. In the acceptance package, there is a form you have to fill out and include with your cheque. But don't worry, you have until June 1st to pay the deposit!

Thank you so much for letting me know! I really appreciate it :) Hopefully I'll see you at UofT in September :)!!!

I think (?) I've been accepted to MacMaster, originally my student centre listed me as a green bubble (pending) and recently it has changed to the blue box (conditional offer). I'm not sure how long it has been this way, I just noticed a few days ago...thing is I haven't received an email outlining my conditions and there is nothing on Mosaic/OUAC either. I'm probably going to call next week if I don't receive a letter in the next few days, but I was wondering if anyone else is in the same position? My U of T offer expires next week so I'm getting nervous about what to accept!

Same here. I just checked after seeing your post, and I see that blue square as well.

So weird that we did not get any emails.

Hello,

I just got into UOFT today and I was wondering if anyone knows how many students they accept? Just curious of how big the class sizes might be.

Not true. I'm in the program. People got in with mid Bs overall but they had mid/high B+s in the last year of credits.

Would you mind sharing your GPA? I've been obsessively checking for an offer from McMaster and the waiting is driving me crazy! I'm afraid my GPA might not be competitive enough because I have no idea where the cutoff stands.

Does anyone know when acceptances stop going out for Queen's AST? I will probably call soon if I don't hear anything in the next week and a half. Thanks :)
