  1. I just called york admissions and he said if the admissions criteria was updated a few weeks ago, that probably applies to next year and not this year...and that no decision yet really means no decision yet.
  2. Thank you for the info~~! I don't remember seeing this before, but the admissions criteria now says all prerequisites must be over 6 (york scale). I'm worried that I won't qualify because my one pre-requisite is a 5... Good luck, where ever you choose to attend!
  3. Looks like the Ontario thread is deleted...
  4. Good luck to everyone! I'm still waiting on york even though my cGPA 6.17 and sGPA is 7.38. Pretty borderline...I'm external and my status is still at "no decision yet". Anxiously hoping for a miracle!
  5. ahh~ then they would convert my 4.3 scale gpa into the york scale no? i should stop worrying and let things happen haha thanks for your help!
  6. But what confuses me is that there were people who were accepted last year with B averages :S. I'm sure it'll be higher this year though.
  7. Hi! My GPA is very similar to yours, but when I asked the nursing department about last year's cutoff, they said last year's cutoff was a B+(7) and they expect that it will be higher this year. Is this the last 30 credits they are talking about? or is this cutoff incorrect? What do you think?
  8. Ahh~ So they don't rank people based on GPA? I presume it would be difficult to compare students from different GPA types without converting it all into one type.
  9. Does anyone know how york weighs the cumulative gpa vs. the last year's gpa? my last year is significantly higher than my cumulative which is 6.0 york scale. Also, would anyone happen to know if york just looks at the converted york scale gpa? my original 4.3 scale gpa is in the B- range but my york gpa is a B somehow. Or perhaps I converted it wrong? I converted each credit into the york value and summed them all up and divided by the number of credits. if anyone has any insights i would really appreciate it!!^^
  10. Hello!! I have a 6.13 as well for cumulative (but below 3.0 in a 4.0 scale) and a 7.38 for the last year. So i'm wondering, do you know if they look at the 4.0 scale as well as the york gpa? because my 4.0 scale gpa is lower than my york gpa somehow... and my last year's gpa is a lot higher than my cumulative... Im hoping they only look at the at the york gpa and they take my last year gpa into consideration when seeing my low cumulative...haha if you have any thoughts or insights on this, id appreciate it ^^
  11. Hello! I was wondering if anyone knows what York focuses on in terms of GPA. My cGPA is 6.13 but my last year GPA (sGPA) is 7.38. There is a big difference between my cumulative and my last year, but I'm worried that my poor start in undergrad may strongly affect my chances for York Second Entry. What do you guys think??

  13. Sorry for the really late reply! Someone who was reviewing my application emailed me last week telling me that I did not have their Anatomy and Physiology pre-requisite. When I told him about my thoughts on the equivalency sheet being outdated, he told a week later that all of my pre-requisites are acceptable and all that is left is for the department to make a decision! Thanks for your help!
