I know it's early, but let's get a thread going. 2015-hopefuls, share your thoughts, concerns, questions, and experiences here!

I got accepted into U of T today- I am looking forward to meeting many of you in the Fall!

Congratulations on your acceptance!! Would you mind me asking your GPA for your last year (I'm assuming you've completed your last year)?

Thanks :) My GPA in my last year was a 3.94.

Congrats! Could you tell me how you received your acceptance? Was it a letter, e-mail, or did you check online?

Hi all, joining into the conversation today. I found this thread very helpful!

I received my York offer on March 10 but am anxiously waiting for UofT!

Congrats!! Is that out of a 4.0 or 4.3? Just trying to get an idea of how my chances compare

It is out of a 4.0 GPA. I got an email and it said I will get a package in the mail soon. My OUAC and JoinUofT has not updated at all though!

hey,

I'm surprised that they refused to discuss this with you. I e-mailed them a week ago about the same issue (I go to U of T) and they got back to me within 2 days. I wish they wouldn't have that list up at all. Only my anatomy pre-req is actually listed there, but the department assured me that the courses (stats, microbiology and physiology) that I have taken meet the requirements and that the admissions committee will have a much more comprehensive list of courses that are acceptable from each school... If I had to guess, you're probably fine. I was getting nervous because my GPA is a lot higher than many of the acceptances going out and I still haven't heard anything, but apparently I have all the requirements so I'll just try to wait patiently...... haha

Sorry for the really late reply! Someone who was reviewing my application emailed me last week telling me that I did not have their Anatomy and Physiology pre-requisite. When I told him about my thoughts on the equivalency sheet being outdated, he told a week later that all of my pre-requisites are acceptable and all that is left is for the department to make a decision!

Thanks for your help!

Hello! I was wondering if anyone knows what York focuses on in terms of GPA. My cGPA is 6.13 but my last year GPA (sGPA) is 7.38. There is a big difference between my cumulative and my last year, but I'm worried that my poor start in undergrad may strongly affect my chances for York Second Entry.

What do you guys think??

Hi everyone! I have been accepted to York and UofT and have to decide which to attend... any opinions would be so helpful! I hope to be able to keep working part time at my current job (which is downtown) but could get free transportation to York (my husband works right next door)... so either is fairly convenient for me - looking for other factors to consider... I know more about York's schedule than UofT's so if there are any UofT students currently in the program who see this and can describe the classes/schedule it would be great!

Thanks!

Congratulations on both of your acceptances!!

Would you mind sharing what your GPA was in your last year?

Sure calculated with instructions from UofT (as I think there seems to be different ways to do it...) I got 3.92 out of 4.
